My recent memories of his teams were over emphasis on defence, and him being a prick generally. I didn't particularly like the way his teams played post-Chelsea, but he never struck me as someone who didn't know what he wanted his players to do. Crazily enough they are now unbeaten in their last 13 league games. They're now 3 points off 6th. If they finish strong Iraola will be shortlisted for manager of the year and deservedly so. Iraola will manage a top side imo

What made howes record standout then before we gave him a chance?

bobbydazzla
Is there a new rule in place that says NUFC can only recruit a new manager who is either currently managing or has recently managed in the English top flight ? Or is Jose Mourinho. Names getting bandied about in here are about as creative as your nanna suggesting places to go on your holidays Edited April 13 by bobbydazzla

He used a lot of young players at spurs and Southampton so he wasn't always experience over youth.

Robster
4 minutes ago, andycap said: What made howes record standout then before we gave him a chance? I am not quite sure what you are asking. Are you referring to him taking Bournemouth from -17 points of the fourth division, all the way up to the premier league ? The key difference is that NUFC when he joined was quite different to where we are how.
