Kid Icarus Posted Wednesday at 06:34 Share Posted Wednesday at 06:34 Wish that had been on earlier. It's a guttner that we don't get to see him every week, but seeing him like that and showing that he's still got it is an absolute joy like.
simonsays Posted Wednesday at 06:38 Share Posted Wednesday at 06:38 (edited) Wonderful player and performance. Lucky still to be on the pitch to get his hat trick though Edited Wednesday at 06:39 by simonsays
Infinitely Content Posted Wednesday at 07:03 Share Posted Wednesday at 07:03 I reckon a not insignificant number of Americans watched that Argentina game wondering why Messi isn't playing for the United States Men's National Soccer Team

Big Geordie Posted Wednesday at 09:15 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:15 Just watching Argentina highlights - Messi rolling back the years with 3 great goals. Mind though - naughty rake of the studs down the back of a defenders leg, which went unpunished. Two great goals in the Austria v Jordan game too. The College Dropout Posted Wednesday at 09:41 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:41 I like how they aren’t using VAR to watch incidents hundreds of times and making calls on the slightest touches or super slow mo. Maybe in PL that’s a red. Here let’s carry on with things. Less penas. No 15 minute corner routines. Football is alive.
Doctor Zaius Posted Wednesday at 09:50 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:50 Mbappe got away with one too. I wonder if it's leniency as I can't recall any harsh sendings off aside from that mental game on the first day, but it wouldn't suprise me if there was a directive not to send the best players off. Keefaz Posted Wednesday at 09:51 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:51 Just seen the highlights. I'd have probably had someone marking Messi like.
Kanj Posted Wednesday at 10:08 Share Posted Wednesday at 10:08 FWIW, Messi is all over our TV here with commercial ads since he joined Miami and he’s an absolute prick on the pitch for them. Also think there’s a bit of a dirty player in him that always gets the benefit of the doubt in MLS. So I can’t really stand him, from a pure hater stand point, however of course the guy is absolutley the greatest footballer I’ve ever seen in my life. I don't think he'd be at this World Cup if he'd stayed in Europe because it would have caught up with him. Going to Ligue 1 and then Miami has been the best thing to allow him to focus on the national team.

Wolfcastle Posted Wednesday at 11:26 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:26 Best team and best football by far so far. Though the same was the case in 94 and 06 and it didn't amount to much
The College Dropout Posted Wednesday at 11:32 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:32 Don’t think Argentina will win it this time. one paced in midfield, not sure about the fullbacks either. ADM a huge miss. A high technical floor helps a lot though.
