    NUFC Transfer Rumours

£43 mil, 29 in December... yeah that's not happening
  6. Reckon that's horseshite
  7. Whaat ?? He tried to maim two of our players man Mind that lunge at Izak was a perfect microcosm of where the two clubs are in football standings.
  8. Never really wanted us to do it this way, but I hope when PSR rules eventually change, we start taking the piss and start buying the best players from the bigger clubs for stupid money.
  9. Would not be surprised.

Plus you just know as soon as we banked a large number to help PSR if that's the argument..you just know they will suddenly scrap it or something and then we'd have already lost the player without any benefit.
  11. And say helping us get yet another CL campaign in that year their playing, yeah it’s a win all round for me.
  12. Imagine how long we'd take to replace them all. The polar ice caps would be a distant memory by that point.
  13. Must have missed that I remember the club's representatives being either totally silent, or full of shit for pretty much the entire Ashley reign.

David Burt - as far as I’m aware, the only ex Newcastle player we have on this board. Would love to hear some more stories from him.
  15. Why are we so fucking slow at doing things? If decisions can only be made after a carrier pigeon has flown all the way to Saudi and then has to fly back again with the result then it’s time to have someone permanently based in Newcastle who can actually make a yes/no choice.

It's also one thing to find a replacement - it's another to attract them to the club. And the pool isn't very big.
  17. I don't think any amount of money is worth it, even with PSR in mind. I think a lot of people are undervaluing him (even at £200m), strikers like him don't really exist. If he stays fit, he will score 20+ goals in the PL, 35+ overall. The way I see it, is where do we find those goals if we sell him? We need to sign a high end striker at very least, and even with money in the bank - who do we buy? Not fussed about Osimhen, Ekitike, etc. Undoubtedly there will be some unearthed gems out there, but why risk it when we have the gem already? Anyways, I would say no regardless of cost unless he has downed tools and spat the dummy - then cash in.
  18. I’ve seen quite many questioning the signing of Wirtz. Or people saying he has never impressed them and that they can very well see him being a big flop. You can never say never in football or take anything for granted. But judging by what I’ve seen I struggle to see him being anything but a massive success for years to come. It might take him a bit of time to settle before he hits the ground running. Despite the price I can see him being a bargain when you consider how much is being spent on some players.
  19. Depends when it was his intention to leave really.
  20. It’s an amazing idea but the purity of principle has been completely hijacked by avaricious shits like Infantino and his cronies and grim cunts like Perez and Laporta. Hence Inter Miami’s completely bent inclusion.

We have money now apparently and seem to be still struggling to spend it
  22. The appointment of the CEO is done by the board of directors.
