  1. Past hour
  2. 6 years (on the 12th May) since Rafas farewell on that glorious sunny day at Craven Cottage. A 4-0 romp. We were looking so good at the end of that season. Was interesting reading the report on nufc.com and talk of the possibility of Rafa being replaced by some has been, happy to toe the line. That's exactly what we got. It was the day of the flotilla up the Thames too. I can remember watching from a pub and a Chelsea fan was commending us for how good that was.
  3. Little about him? He’s got 12 goals in an absolutely useless team. Not every centre forward needs “trickery and guile” we have that in Isak, might be nice to have a different kind of weapon in the squad no? He’d be a great option for 30 million but he will probably go elsewhere.
  4. Now someone chart this cunt up and make a NO team of the season.

    Anthony Gordon

    Sad but completely true.
  6. Aren't you normally all about the eye test? I'm not saying he's bad obviously, I think he's a very good footballer, but putting him in a team of the season for this year is laughable really. It doesn't matter how much he's saved this that or the other, there are just plenty of other players who've done more and played better.

    Harvey Barnes

I didn't think he was that bad yesterday. He did some things very poorly, and some important things very well as part of a winning team performance. He definitely wasn't a dead weight on us. I find it weird to want to pick on him in the circumstances.
  8. Like an Ivan Drago megazord
  9. Yep - away goals haven't counted in the playoffs for donkeys years. You'd think they'd know that, given that lower league playoffs are their bread and butter and the only time they'll ever see their team win at 'Wembo'
  10. I remember at least 2 goals he just got done by some good movement from an attacker. A goal conceded against Chelsea by Havertz springs to mind. He was great but - he was one of the weakest links. This season - he’s been our best central defender. He wasn’t better than Schar in those 6 months. He’s been better than Schar easily. Been better on the ball. A bigger aerial threat. He’s gone to another level. I wouldn’t have thought then we could get CL with a BurnxSchar defence
  11. He's more or less been the only good thing about a pretty lacklustre Ipswich this season. More than good enough to be a PL player next year. Under the right coaching he's got potential.
  12. Whilst I don't like siding with the enemy, and I think it's great that Big Dan is having such a fantastic climax to his career, I didn't see him as team of the year material at all. There's a reason why centre back is one of our top priorities in the next transfer window. He lacks pace, he's cumbersome on the ball and although his height means he wins a lot of headers, he's not actually as good in the air as you might expect. Getting that bulky 6foot 6inch frame off the ground is not easy. Stick a 5foot 9inch South American midfielder in front of him and he'll clean up, of course. He does well because of his strength and his experience, but also because of Eddie's amazing way of organising our defending in general. The abiding wonder for me over the last 3 years has been how few goals we concede, despite the limitations of many individual players. As for Fernandes, he never even popped into my head as a candidate, which is unfair because he is a very good player. There's something annoying about both him and his club though.
  13. Ronaldo

    Harvey Barnes

Agreed but he’s not a work-rate player so he’ll always been a bit of an easy target when his quality isn’t there either. God even Laurent Robert got booed off and he was twice the winger Barnes is.
  14. Watched him long and hard a striker with little about him no trickery or guile and certainly not champions league quality. Also tries to cheat referees on a regular basis. He is basic and not what we need to compete with Barcelona or Inter
  15. Oh dear they have moved the advertising boards 10 yards in to stop Coventry long throws...is that as sad a thing as you can conjure up you desperate t###s
  16. Championship striker? You’ve not seen much of him then. Outrageous take. Not that I think he’s amazing but he’s clearly already a decent PL striker who is only going to get better. If he was ours he’d only be one injury away for starting for the 3rd placed team in the league for a start.

  18. CPL

    Sandro Tonali

Having Isak fully fit and an upgrade on Murphy will solve that issue. We could also rotate Joelinton out for a playmaker if teams play the low block against us and we have struggled to break them down. Who that might be? Hopefully Paul Mitchell will find the right player.
  19. I think Palmer is a fair shout - As poor as he's been of late he has still got 15 goals and 10 assists - that's more goal involvements than Mbeumo and Rodgers.
  20. Please no attempt to sign Delap he is a championship striker with little skill or guile...let him go to Manure as he suits them. We need a clever striker who can change games...find him Mitchell bud...
  21. Been way more confident about winning this since they've started dropping points every week. Hope Rice is out, that would be huge. If he is, I think we win. I'd rather not leave it to the last day. Feels like Everton @ home is always a shit one and it could easily end 0-0 like that Leicester one when we last qualified for UCL.
  22. Agreed. I would like us to be able to hold onto the ball and control the ball better at times though.
  23. It can be done. I'm planning to have a bash with some ropey DHGate shirts before committing to something more expensive/meaningful. There's a few vids like this. This is the product they use: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AlbaChem-Transfer-Vinyl-Letter-Remover/dp/B01N17AEHP/ref=asc_df_B01N17AEHP?mcid=7716b0a8b8ed370a85d313c205329549&hvocijid=2560146133952152153-B01N17AEHP-&hvexpln=74&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696285193871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2560146133952152153&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046293&hvtargid=pla-2281435177898&psc=1&gad_source=1
  24. Defining their right by the fact 26000 attended tonight....I would say that has been about the 5under1and real attendance all season...most threads on their sad forum all season have been about bogus attendance figures misconstued by 10000 per game to big themselves up
  25. Been saying this for a week, I'm more bothered about the season closer vs the scouse mackems than I am of this game, they're our kryptonite
