Textor has wanted out since it became apparent that Parish doesn’t want to sell unless someone is stupid enough to pay over the odds for Palace. As much as we slate American owners for doing it, you can bet that he’s holding out for the Premier League to close up, making him a multi-billionaire.

Welcome to the pharmaceutical industry. No profit in healthy people. They need to keep customers for life.

The fact thar they finished a full 24 points behind Leeds and Burnley doesn't seem to have sunk in. They'll finish above both those apparently and Wolves, Bournemouth and Brentford. Absolutely fkn deranged bunch of cunts.

The guy sold a product aimed at babies that caused cancer. When initial studies showed that it caused cancer, instead of taking it off the market, he tried to pay off the people who did the studies. When that failed he paid off the courts.

That Moretti is fucking rancid like

How can it be that nobody has yet managed to make a genuine footballing and commercial success of the buy-'em-cheap-and-young-flog-'em-for-billions model they're planning to operate..? It all seems so straightforward

needs shooting for that middle paragraph

I doubt we’re going to get a player with such a high ceiling, who doesn’t have something about them turning off the usual suspects. He’s only 21 and his two longer periods of injury were completely separate parts of the body. Tino hasn’t done too badly.
-
Can you imagine players doing this even 10 years ago man. Fkn love themselves above everything else. So self-centred they think they can get away with anything. Absolutely boils my piss. Not a single care for what their own fans think. Wankers.

He's shite as well

What's so funny?

That's the game. We've had good success on fairly priced PL players like Barnes, Burn, Pope - those deals are hard to land at decent prices. Not players big clubs would've been after in any situation maybe Barnes the exception actually. Botman, Tonali, Bruno, Isak, Hall, Tino, Gordon - all signings other big clubs would've looked at and decided too much money for the risk. We have to continue down this route imo.

Presume that's to ensure they can compete in the Europa? Poor old Forest foiled again.

Brentford set-piece coach Keith Andrews is frontrunner for the vacant manager's job at Gtech Community Stadium. BBC Sport understands the club are not putting a timescale on the appointment, and discussions are progressing well. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3w48p7n014o

Textor has sold his Palace shares to Trumps former ambassador to the UK, the objectively hilariously named Woody Johnson. NFL fans don’t have much nice to say about him but I guess Parish and co aren’t relinquishing him full control.

A chance to use Micky Todger as a slander name so I’m all for it.

Are future add-ons factored in when it comes to amortizing transfer fees (eg a few deals having 10-15m in achievable add-ons but likely deferring the payment to another future period)? If so, it might be achievable without significant sales, maybe? Quick maffs suggests we’re looking at a 120m ish transfer kitty, maybe up to 150m/160m if we’re wanting to be bold. How accurate is that in your (and other psr wizards on here) opinion?

If this is the start of 4/5 immediate first team signings, then consider my socks blown clean off.

Excellent. I think the bit bolded is definitely a strategy of ours.
