Also your last point doesn’t really make sense, Willock hasn’t been a regular starter for two years and Longstaff has barely played this season. Players aren't stupid and can obviously see that the trajectory of the club is upwards, which is going to necessitate some players moving on. If nothing else it stops people becoming complacent and things going stale. Something which I think we all had fears about in the early months of the season. A continual churn is good for keeping everyone on their toes and striving to perform. Do you really want a lot of players hanging around the place, who know they aren’t good enough to be starters for the team? Both Eillock and Longstaff are at different stages of their careers than Dummet and Ritchie, they could have good careers elsewhere, they just aren’t the right fit for Newcastle as we currently play any longer.
-
The players who come in for Liverpool will want to prove they deserve their contract/minutes. Not too concerned.
-
Aye I have no faith in Liverpool tomorrow, sadly.
-
Just a shame Plymouth are utter horseshite, held on to Rooney for too long.
-
Depends on what Mitchell can uncover in lower leagues here or abroad. We as a fanbase are going to have to come to terms with the fact that not every player we buy can be £30M+ yet, we don’t have the revenue to do it. As others have said elsewhere we need to be competing with Brighton and Bournemouth for these gems at the 10-15M bracket, with a splattering of ready made stars added in.
-
Championship finale should be good today.
-
I’m sure they’re out of the race for catching us already. Effectively 6 points with GD.
-
Sure Slot will want as many of his squad to get a medal too. There's bound to be a few who are just away from the minimum appearances to qualify so I can understand why he's doing it. I'd still like to think they're professional enough to be a handful for Chelsea but it's not really any of our business, we just need to focus on our games and get the job done ourselves. Don't want to be relying on anyone else
-
As far as catching us is concerned it would be. They could still finish above Forest and Chelsea
-
If Fulham get a point surely that's Villa out the race
-
If I was a betting man, I’d put money on him to score again before the end of the season
-
Viduka was class aye before us, I don’t even blame him at all for things going to shit. He showed more effort than most
-
Owen's best spell for us was in that slightly withdrawn role behind Viduka and Martins. Looked like the only time the little cunt was arsed. Such a shame we got Viduka when we did, was such a class player in his earlier years and even when he was at Boro. We still got some flashes of it but he was too far past it.
-
Can't see why Liverpool would rotate, like. They've no need to save legs
-
Yeah it’s up to the richest owners in European football, he’s in the same category as that Spanish wanker Balague.
-
Saw that. Some of these pundits cannot handle the idea we are actually competing
-
Was a very exciting time, that. We were playing great attacking football under Keegan, after the misery of Souness, Allardyce et al, and there was a transfer window under new ownership right around the corner. A top 4 challenge surely beckoned.
-
Chelsea are a bit shit too. Liverpool rotation, if they’re sober and still in a tactical shape that’s seen them win the league, should be getting a result against Chelsea.
-
-
blast from the past.
-
“I'm constantly in touch with her and even met her for lunch the other day.” Wew, class mumming. Proper above and beyond.
-
Even if Liverpool rotate tomorrow it will be possibly Curtis Jones, Elliott, Tsimikas, Nunez, Jota, Quansah, Chiesa etc, still should have enough to beat or draw with Chelsea. All possibly playing for their futures as Slot will probably spend this summer

Coupled with Fab's quarter back zingers!
