  1. the majority of the physio and medical team predate the takeover, no?
  2. Really, often a club can get more money for players in January as often the buying club is even more desperate and the selling club can take advantage of that. Or in simple terms "there’s less value in January" which are the words the club themselves use. i am absolutely sure that we will have to sell players to balance at some point in the future. However you are deeming the current situation as incompetence, because you’ve insinuated that they’ve gambled on us definitely qualifying for Europe again. And to answer the last point, have any of these players actually been sold yet? Or is it all speculation at this point with all reports suggesting the club have rebuffed all offers? they are contracted without release clauses, so even if Trippier or Wilson's head has been turned, it’s down to the club as to whether that move happens or not. If they do indeed decide to move these players on, it’ will be because they feel it’s in the best interests of the club. Be that not wanting players here who want to be elsewhere, or because they are both ageing players who it may be the optimal time to get fees for, and who the club owe very little on, so it would represent actual profit. Rather than because they’ve messed their calculations up and are fearing a points deduction as you have insinuated
  3. Not if you’re a rational human being no ??
  4. And is entirely predictable as it’s happened to virtually every club that has qualified for European football for the first time in a decade. FFS West Ham were nearly relegated last year. they will not be selling players now because they fear a points deduction, it will be because they feel it’s the optimal time to do so. FFS they’re not fucking amateurs and they’re more clued up than people who spend 90% off their life shit posting on forums. Have those running the club not earned a bit of trust over the past two years? Maybe trust them instead of catastrophising at every turn
  5. Fella if your mate knew the reception staff or the cleaners it would be more believable, the idea that the person who owns the fucking thing has any idea of what happens in that place day to day, beyond the books is fucking laughable. But you do you. You've played your ITK card in this thread, whereas others have done the same saying it’s bollocks. It might come as a shock to you, but you’re a faceless poster on an internet forum thread to me, so why should I believe you any more than the other faceless posters on the forum exactly? You also didn’t address the underlying point I made either, that people are far too eager to believe everything negative associated with the club at the minute, despite now having two and a bit years of evidence to the contrary.
  6. Aye and so was Mason Greenwood, sadly the justice system in this country really falls short in protecting women from pricks like Barton. And before anyone pipes up, it’s worth pondering that men in this country are 230 times more likely to be raped, than be falsely accused of rape
  7. Was a fairly big story at the time https://news.sky.com/story/joey-barton-bristol-rovers-manager-kicked-wife-in-head-and-grabbed-her-by-throat-in-drunken-row-court-hears-12569356 the bloke is a detestable prick
  8. 14 years of Ashley really has done a psychological number on a massive amount of our fan base like. Why is everyone always so quick to assume everything negative is true?
  9. Not sure, just the Newcastle NewsNow page is full of articles which reference it
  10. people like you are the reason the club is hampered by FFP ? ps: expect I'll be PMing Matt1892 post launch too, us NHS nurses are paid a pittance you know #GiveNursesFootballersWages ?
  11. Probably get pelters for this, but I think this describes Carragher for me too, only he did continually get away with using his hands in the days before VAR
  12. I think I can, and it started with playing through that serious hip injury which ruined the mobility he did have. He never would’ve been a world beater, but I think it robbed him of the career he could’ve had. Go back and watch the young Shola playing alongside Shearer, he has something about him. It was that desire to seize his chance post Alan's injury and cement his place, that ironically robbed him of the opportunity to do just that.
  13. The Alan Pardew of Comedians, if he were a lollipop he’d lick himself to death. His stand up is truly horrific too
  14. I think every Kid released from an academy up here plying their trade in the Northern League, genuinely asked what is Jack Colback actually good at?
  15. We didn’t though, we spent £35-40M on Barnes, £35M on Livramento and £30M on an obligation to buy on Hall? Not to mention £8M on Minteh and a lot of nominal fees on players for the academy. You’re literally arguing about something that didn’t happen ??‍♂️ all because the main signing we made got banned, not because we didn’t need another midfielder last summer
  16. We also didn't sign Tonali for £65M so what's your point? You're using the fee in Euro's which works out somewhere between £50-55M so close to Diaby's fee. And yes we do have scout's who didnt fancy either Diaby or Kudus at the fee's mentioned.
  17. Diaby was on a similar fee to Tonali and reportedly significantly higher wages Kudus, was over £40 million with add ons and given the league he signed from represented a significant risk. Reported wages In line if not higher than our biggest earners too. I don't think either would've saved us any money, lets be honest it's not that we couldnt afford Tonali. Its that we couldn't afford to have him banned for 10 months.
  18. What do you think an upgrade at RW would have cost exactly?
  19. Id imagine it means the fairly serious stress fracture of his back is healing. I mean there are people out there who lose the ability to walk etc after an injury like this, never mind get back to playing professional football
  20. Never suggested we wouldn't, was more of a reason why we'd demand a premium to sell him above and beyond what may be his perceived market value
  21. Its not just them though, there was also RIce going for £100M+ as a proven PL midfielder. Man Utd have also spent £75-80 million on far inferior players to Bruno in recent windows. Its also not necesarily just his market value to consider but his worth to us, which I'd argue is massive given we havent won a league game without him for 18 months.
  22. More than I think any of us expected tbf
  23. Seen some quotes that we get 30% of the sell on fee that goes to Peterborough as that was part of how they got him from us for such a relatively low fee. Explains it here apparently https://onefootball.com/en/news/ivan-toney-sale-made-public-what-newcastle-united-share-of-transfer-fee-will-be-ifwhen-sold-38891137
  24. that’s apparently the lower end of what Chelsea want for Gallagher and roughly what Man Utd wanted for McTominay ?
