Because Pardew wants to play a 2 striker system don't necessarily mean we have to play flat 4-4-2 and force Ben Arfa to be a conventional winger.

 

There's a few variations of the system like 4-3-1-2 or 4-2-2-2 which both would more suitable for the players we currently have.

This is the same manager who'd rather stick Ben Arfa on a different wing because he's shit scared of an opposition fullback. "Hatem, we can't play you down the right today, they've got Baines out there and I'm worried you can't handle him defensively". The only question mark on Pardew's mind is how to stop the opposition - there's not a cat's chance in hell of him sitting down and thinking about what system gets the best out of the players we have, as he'll just use whichever system and lineup he thinks will best contain the opposition on a game to game basis.

There is enough pace there for the player to run the channels and still add width.

Yeah, I'm rather surprised we've gone in at 6.9 after the intial 4-5. Hopefully this will bring Aulas to his senses that he is unlikely to get better.

It only seems to be Get French Football News who keep beating this drum. Like they did with Cabaye to Monaco/PSG being absolutely nailed on and there was contact between the clubs despite it being denied.
