Getting a lot of praise on radio Newcastle.

Hes crap, gives us extra protection back there, but whenever hes on the ball its a disaster.

He keeps it tidy and doesn't try anything above his station, doubt he gives the ball away much

Pardew seems to be getting some decent performances out of him, despite him being very limited.

He might have just found his niche as the midfield 'breaker-up-er-er', cos he's a lot better there than in defence.

Getting a lot of praise on radio Newcastle.

Radio Newcastle's opinion is just about as worthwhile as a calligraphy lesson from Harry Redknapp.  Apparently we were a totally different side second half, far better, which second half did they watch?

Perch did ok though, but nowt worth shouting about.

I thought he was excellent tonight. He did more in 45 minutes than everyone else bar Krul and Coloccini for the full game. They slaughtered us in the first half and had far too much space and time in the middle of the park, but he was excellent in stopping them. Really pleased for him he's shown he's a decent option if Tiote isn't available
