James
With the friendly atmosphere at the club, Nolan should really be man enough to go to the manager and say that he can't play 90 minutes at a high level.
tmonkey
This thread title should be "Kevin Nolan: Untouchable?" until Hughton drops him or has the balls to actually sub him off in a game where he's clearly being useless and/or is gassed out. It's exactly what we had when Allardyce was being a dick and was refusing to drop or subsitute Alan Smith (something like 28 consecutive Premiership starts iirc, with no goals, before Keegan came in and dropped him). Colocho
We need him to buckle under the weight of his fat mass and get an ACL injury or something.
Decky
Cant believe he is only 28 too. He should be full of energy. Instead hes knackered like a 35 year old. All this talk of him not being fit enough to play 90 minutes is utterly ridiculous for a player of his age.

Disco
He's playing far too far forward at home. He is at his best running from a deep lying midfield role not this 1 of the striker. Its plain as day, hence his performance at Everton opposed to the last 2 home games where he has been less influential.
Colocho
Overweight, slow and a terrible team player. Can't stand the man.
ponsaelius
Ffs man. He was very good on Saturday, people gave him credit for it. However for large parts of last season and this he's been poor, and the criticism is fully justified when it is given. Players get criticised when they play poorly and praised when they play well, it's a simple as that. He's obviously not 'useless' but he's not exactly brilliant either. I think Tiote really helped on Saturday, and now we might have the legs in midfield to allow us to carry Nolan in the team. However we'll see, I'm not gonna forget the multitude of substandard performances and declare him an excellent player in one go, but if he keeps up his form from Saturday I'm happy to see him in the team. Back to standard. Poor today.
Geordie Ahmed
He was awful today - scored the pen and missed a chance at the end, other than that did now - fat, waste of space
olliemort
In fairness hes a good squad player to have,he will get us goals but no way he should be on the first 11 or play the full 90 mins.He was fucked at the end he could barely catch his breath...but yet we take fuckn Ben Arfa and Tiote off
KaKa
Cant believe this guy is our captain. We need someone who gets the players motivated and puts in a cracking performance to be an example to the other players. If Nolan cant do that at home against Stoke then we have absolutely no hope. Yup, instead he spends his time on the pitch clowning around and being goofy. A silly, fat mess of a player.
The Prophet
Thought he was the least of our problems today. That's coming from a critic. How Barton has avoided stick for that disgrace of a second half performance I'll never know.

Jayson
Barton can thread a ball through thats why, just didnt have many options. Stoke defended pretty well. Nolan did well last week, did little today & should have been brought off. Simple really.

Nolan did well last week, did little today & should have been brought off. Simple really. We all know he can, but he constantly misplaced it or got caugh in possession. While Nolan didn't set the world alight he got involved and contibuted to a lot of our attacks.

Big Geordie
Nolan wasn't 'involved' at all today, bar taking the pen and missing that good chance at the end. Not good enough.
ponsaelius
Everton was an exception to the rule. It was back to the norm for him today, anonymous for lengthy periods of the game.

The Prophet
Like I say. I'd drop Nolan, see previous posts but today I felt he contributed a great deal more than Barton did over the ninety minutes.

Guest BooBoo
If we're hammering players offering nothing to the side at the moment, it's time to invite Wayne Routledge along to the headmasters officer for a caning. The lads offered bog all, all season so far.
