AyeDubbleYoo
He is a better a kicker than Krul, I'll give him that.
HawK
Can't compare the two but there's no doubt that Krul has stagnated badly in the past 2-3 years.
joeyt
He is a better a kicker than Krul, I'll give him that. He's still absolutely terrible at it though
AyeDubbleYoo
Can't compare the two but there's no doubt that Krul has stagnated badly in the past 2-3 years. Yep true, along with every other NUFC player.
Hanshithispantz
He is a better a kicker than Krul, I'll give him that. He's still absolutely terrible at it though Aye, compared with most other keepers I'd usually say the improvement in his kicking was a complete myth but Krul would genuinely hoof the ball out of play 4-5 times a game. Ronaldo
Elliot has been excellent this season, mediocre ffs. I'm not saying I like him, nor am I saying he's a great keeper but this season he's been superb and far out performed expectations. He will be a huge miss. One save might be the difference for us, in the same way that one goal might be. It shouldn't be this way but that's where we find ourselves. From what I've seen, he's a better keeper than Krul, who can barely kick a ball. Just wow.
Hanshithispantz
He's just another 2011 Ryan Taylor or Leon Best doing a job we need done to a borderline acceptable level.
Parsley
Give Elliot his due, he's arguably been one of our best players this season and will be missed. His save from van Aanholt in the derby was outstanding by anyone's standard.

Hanshithispantz
But his effort for their goal was awful. Anyway he'll be out of the team next year if we stay up, whether behind Krul or someone else. He's decent backup but he's not a Premiership No.1. The College Dropout
Arguably better than Krul has been for the precious 2 years. Not a huge compliment but it's a problem now he's out.
BlueStar
Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot ruled out for at least six months with knee injury http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-goalkeeper-rob-elliot-ruled-7655202
BlueStar
If he's got knee injury, why can't he play? Seriously though

Bimpy474
Six months, fucking hell. That's actually the better end of the scale for ACL injury.

Minhosa
Jesus. This might even result in Krul having to stay this summer if Blob is out for the foreseeable.
TK-421
Any chance we can get someone in on an emergency loan? Doubt it. We have Darlow, and then Woodman from the Academy. Last time this happened, was when we had Jak Alnwick in goal with Woodman as back-up, and weren't allowed an emergency then. I'm guessing you have to be down to one available keeper before you're allowed an emergency loan.
geordiesteve710
How much compensation do you get if both your keepers are crippled on international duty and you get relegated, missing out on £100million of tv cash??
NG32
HA typical, another stupid tight arse decision backfires on the club again. As soon as Krul was crocked, they should have put the feelers out for a loan keeper in January. When will they learn.
Ronaldo
His body quite clearly isn't up to the demands of a professional athlete, like. It's about an injury every 15 games - and he's a keeper.
