It's such a fucking daft situation, man, but ultimately we're throwing away one of the most gifted players we've had this decade for Ryan Taylor and Gabriel Obertan. And anyone piping up with "I support Newcastle United not Hatem Ben Arfa" can piss off the weird sods. Personally I think when you have a good attacking player who can score fantastic goals and create from nothing, you can always accommodate them into your team. In Pardew's world he'd probably have told Messi to fuck off because he was too small to battle the centre halves in England. So ben Arfa isn't the best at tracking back...so fucking what? Play one less shit winger and play a 4-3-3 instead. If you can't figure out a solid formation with only three attacking players you've got to be a bit dense IMO.
