sempuki
We obviously can't compete with the Sovereign States of Southampton and Norwich.
Mattoon
I can just see the Fat man and JFK sat in the office with Cigars and Whiskey playing go fish deciding on when they tell us that their (non) business is done for this window.

Newcastle Fan
I don't get why people here are pissed, woke up today with no expectations whatsoever
Chris_R
There's just not even a vague feeling that we might sign anyone. We've all suspected for weeks that nothing was happening, and now it's just grim resignation. 1 kid and 1 loanee who might soon end up banged up anyway. Disgusting. I'd put money on Pardew justifying our inactivity by saying we spent so much in January. I'd put even more money on the spineless interviewer not pulling him up on this and saying "Didn't you spend so much in January because you failed to spend anything the summer before?". Well they're not getting another penny out of me until this attitude changes or they're all replaced.

Lenny
We've spent about 0.000000577% of the total Premier League spending this window
JH
Just a shame we've got no game for two weeks. People will have forgotten by then. "Ah well - we beat Fulham so we'll be ok"
gdm
I don't get why people here are pissed, woke up today with no expectations whatsoever Because expecting these idiots to sign players or not makes no difference that failing to sign anyone is a disgrace and we should be pissed for a while, not just today
Flip
We're actually not buying one single player in this window.
AlanSkÃrare
We're actually not buying one single player in this window. When did this happen? First summer window ever? Bowyer on a free 2003 was a low. A couple of January windows have been similar, but mid-season is one thing.
mattypnufc
We're actually not buying one single player in this window. When did this happen? First summer window ever? Bowyer on a free 2003 was a low. A couple of January windows have been similar, but mid-season is one thing. The Man City game was the first opening game of the season where we didn't field a new signing for 22 years.
ChrisMcQuillan
United For Newcastle @UtdForNewcastle 50s In #NUFC's last two summer transfer windows, they have spent £9.7m of the £1bn spent by Premier League clubs (so far). Less than 1%.
Chris_R
We're actually not buying one single player in this window. Not true. We signed some kid for about 10p. Kemen, I think?

Crumpy Gunt
I don't get why people here are pissed, woke up today with no expectations whatsoever If the 'football' board was completely locked until 23-01 then those on the nash could go back to their wank pit and those in gainful could actually get summit sorted. Of course it could be instantly unlocked on the miniscule proviso of something actually happening. I can see more and more seeing the folly of committing £500+ to the regime that is blatantly not putting it back in.
