Pretty good from what I saw. Bigi is fucking class, defence good, Gosling decent. Some of the forward players need a bit of work. Sammy needs a bit of a boot up the arse I think, whenever I see him he shows signs of good stuff but he doesn't do the simple things well and loses concentration all the time.

Just glad we're focusing on the league so we might be able to get a place in europe and be uncompetitive again next year.

A point away in the group stages is more than enough. If our fringe players can do that it's fully understandable that there's some shuffling amongst players. All teams do it. Really don't get that attitude unless we start doing it in the late knock-out stages and the likes.

Three games, two goals (inc one direct free kick), three largely powder puff performances against feeble sides.

If we are taking this competition seriously then Pardew has to play a few more of our better players. Some of our development players simply aren't good enough. Not sure whether its just because they're still too young or simply lacking the real ability.

Not a bad performance but our final ball is consistently fucking shocking. It was exactly the same against the Greeks - our wingers all skin the full back again and again then pass it to the nearest centre half for him to boot away.

Should have won it but oh well, not terrible, solid away performance by an inexperienced side.

Eliot 7 - one moment of shakiness at the end

Perch - 6 - solid but not really a rb

Williamson - 6 shakey at start but was pretty solid later, wish he could pass

Saylor - 7 - solid

Santon - 8 - Looked very good to me

Gosling - 6 - I'll be generous cos he nearly scored but otherwise didn't do anything

Bigi - 8 - Always looking to tackle then pass it forwards to get an attack going, great

Amalfitano - 5 - pretty meh tbh

Obertan - 5 - standard frustrating fair, his build up can be great but end product awful

Vuckic - 5 - some neat touchs but didn't do much

Ameobi - 5 was decent at times and yet he should have buried one of his chances.

Wait until Man Utd next week.

edit:  and hang on, a point away against Maritimo is a good result?

Elliott 8 - good saves x 2

Perch 6 - didn't offer much going forward

Taylor 7 - did the basics well

Williamson 6 - solid after his fuck up

Santon 7 - decent

Bigirimana 8.5 - very tidy on the ball and broke the game up well.

Gosling 7 - did his job well, disciplined, let down by poor control a bit

Obertan 5 - as per always

Amalfitano 6 - didn't really do much but looked bright in spells

Vuckic 5 - did fuck all

Shola 7 - held it up well, probably could/should of scored
