Dave
A point represents progress from Monday's mauling, but victory today would have done much to dispel the gloom that continues to hang over a club where one has to look long and hard to find a shred of optimism. But with set pieces again wasted and a continued inability to hit the target, a draw and a clean sheet were the most Newcastle could have expected today - and concerningly they often looked like a team coming to the end of a long hard season, not embarking on a fresh one. Interpolic
We actually look like a functioning football team today, not brilliant but much better. You are a fucking idiot.
Deuce
We actually look like a functioning football team today, not brilliant but much better. You are a fucking idiot. He's right though. We actually played somewhat coherent football today, which is an improvement no matter how slight. Still cringe-worthy stuff all-in-all.
Pata
The one time in his life Shola worked hard to win the ball back with a slide tackle and he caused their guy to go down injured...so Shola boots it out of play so he can be treated. HBA was livid with him. Too nice for his own good. Also s*** at football. He tackled Reid with his head?
Dave
This defending from long punts straight down the middle.

Disco
Better team than WHU would've won comfortably today.
Dave
Was the 'highlights' there really reflective of our attacking? Because if so it really was a good result. Should have lost 4-0 again.
Disco
Was the 'highlights' there reflective of our attacking? Because if so it really was a good result. Should have lost 4-0 again. We were static as always going forward, bar the odd fruitless run from Ben Arfa we offered nowt. Collins and Reid won't have an easier afternoon. If Gouffran had of scored it'd have been a robbery. Ashley17
Was the 'highlights' there reflective of our attacking? Because if so it really was a good result. Should have lost 4-0 again. You didn't see any of Ben Arfa's 30 yard smashes. Other than that, a lot of short passing in our own half, get within 40 yards of the goal then either a) afforementioned smashy smashy b) lump into the box for West Ham's giants to comfortably clear
Mole_Toonfan
Our static play might actually improve if you know we stopped picking Cisse and Shola who both have the movement of a skyscraper. Not surprising our attack is so static when no one comes towards the ball, runs beyond the back 4 or just contribute to the team in any fashion. midds
Joe Cole's shot was yards over, wtf are these people on about. Was about 3 or 4 yards wide and never on target. Certainly wasn't over, not that it matters like because it never went in.
Ashley17
There was a number of people sat around me today who are season ticket holders and their views couldn't be any more different to the general consensus on here. 1) Shola is the in-form striker so has every right to be picked 2) Sissoko is garbage 3) Anita is not built enough for this league and should stop moaning about wanting first team football. 4) Sammy should get more game time 5) We have to trust Pardew's decisions, he sees the players every day in training. 6) Debuchy is terrible, Simpson was better 7) Marveaux should be nowhere near the first 11 8) West Ham are not better than us 9) Why are people booing? This was a good result. Baffling.
Tiresias
i can understand plenty of differences of opinion but I can't understand seeing Shola and thinking his level of performance is acceptable even if we were a league 1 side.
Ketsbaia
Highlights weren't too reflective of the match. Draw was fair - our build up play was better but they actually had chances. Nobody deserved to win really.
