Fell into the needing league experience trap, and they probably do, but questionable whether those 2 are the right ones. Good for us though.

What’s going on there is more of a reflection of the absolute shambles in the boardroom than Potter’s ability. If Potter goes I think there’ll be a mad scramble for his services. Spurs seem to have an almighty hard-on for Nagelsmann, but I think Potter would be a great appointment in all honesty. Exactly the profile of manager they should be after considering the scale of the rebuild required. Foreign managers don’t get any slack for how bad their clubs are. Potter seems to be a good coach and at least a decent manager. In another setup he might do a great job. But on its own merits, he’s stinking this job out and there’s room for improvement in the dug out for sure. I would like to see him in another good job. But tbh - he doesn’t deserve it anymore than a Nuno.
The College Dropout
Also Chelsea need a strong manager not just a good coach. So many players and personalities and egos. They need someone to come in and say ‘these are my 25 - sorry Todd, the other 50 can get fooked’.

Rodgers is a European class manager, despite what's gone on recently at Leicester. Give him Rice/Paqueta/Scammaca/Bowen etc, you would fancy him finding a tune out of them. Tiresias
I dunno where I stand with Rodgers, used to think he was an absolute fraud, and had little sympathy with him whinging over the summer when I thought he was just looking for a payoff, but covid destroyed their owners income stream didn't it, and resulted in no money for a while. Equally you look at his league finishes till this season and cup runs and actually pretty solid stuff with the team. Problem is if you find not quite trying hard enough to get to champions league sort of level enough, or if it's quite soulless after their league win to just aim for the middle. Having said that you need resources to geniuinely challenge for champions league and it was probably a pipe dream they could ever maintain even close to that. They have been very poor this season, and from their fans Rodgers has not really helped himself despite lack of investment. Seemed to be very negative on his own players for a while. Not sure if his reputation has completely gone down the bin considering the limitations though.
