Dokko
Hopefully they appoint Mr Bruce. Bags of experience (1,000 games, yer know), nice guy, media favourite and one of the most important managers to have lived...that's from the guy who sits top of the league. Bruce in. Nine
So they will try and roll the dice and hope for a bounce, personally I’d be surprised if anyone managed to get even half consistent (avoid relegation) form out of that group of players. Without a major collapse in form from teams around them then this is the year they finally go. Edited January 23, 2023 by Nine
Coffee_Johnny
Makes sense for Lampard to be shuffled out now. Everton not likely to get anything from next two games anyway, so good time to get someone in who then has a bit of time to influence, before two more winnable games against Leeds and Villa. TheBrownBottle
Everton look nailed on to drop this year or next. They've been circling the plug hole for some time, and they are not improving. I have heard some of their support give it the old 'a year in the second divison might alllow us to rebuild'; they really should look at the experiences of Villa, Leeds, Sheff Wed, the mackems ... it isn't always falling into a bucket of tits being relegated. Even for us and our immediate bounce-backs, the hit to the club's finances and prestige are long- (or at least medium-) lasting.
St1pe
Lampard getting the Bruce treatment in the media. None of this is his fault apparently

RodneyCisse
Just wait till Everton get someone decent to moderate in and crawl up the table.

He doesn't have any real footballing "philosophy" and he's a "pragmatist" - which in English football management terms is doing things old school. He's not interested in management again. But his default style is more Gerrard/Lampard than Arteta. He's too convinced of what does and doesn't work in English football.
AJ9
Is Dyche still knocking around? Would put money on him if so.

Even for us and our immediate bounce-backs, the hit to the club's finances and prestige are long- (or at least medium-) lasting. For all the praise we’ve gotten this year, most of the matches and the commentary go like this: Kick off/Leadup: “Newcastle are having a magical season, currently sitting in the top four and champs league qualification“ “Can they build on it???” During the game: “A year ago, Newcastle were losing to teams like Leicester, what a turnaround” Playing a promoted team: “It was only a few years ago this massive club we’re playing in the Championship” Gets a bit tedious and we don’t need reminding of how shit we were under Ashley. Pricks!
