Other clubs call them 'club ambassadors' or some such shit - basically a familiar (successful/famous) face who does the rounds to make the people who've paid more for their tickets feel a bit more important than the rank and file. They think they're rubbing shoulders with a bit of an NUFC celeb and he has an active role on matchdays. Would explain why his tongue is brown.
