BottledDog
My takeaway from the meeting was can't try cups cos will be relegated This. Also, wtf? Document question: What is the club's ambition going forward? Given the target this season was a top ten finish and it has been achieved, what will the target for progression be in the league next year? Also, what is the target for cup competitions next year? The board reiterated the club's commitment to an open and consistent communications process with fans. The board accepted that the second half of the season had been disappointing but underlined its aim of improving on 16th-place finish in 2012/13 with a top ten finish in 2013/14 had been realised. It was stated that the club's aims for the 2014/15 Premier League season would be made public once they had been determined. The board reiterated that the Premier League will remain the club's priority. ----- So, erm, "fuck the cupz," alright, but you still haven't determined WHERE you want to finish next year? How about a simple fucking "we'll aim for the European places" placeholder of a statement? At least fucking LIE to us and make us feel good. Motherfuckers, man. Mother. Fuck. Chill oot. They will state the targets for next season when they have a better idea surely. No point expecting Europe if the sum total of our summer spend is Colback and a half chewed ham sandwich. Surely you set targets and then act in the transfer window accordingly, not set targets dependent on how the transfer window goes? They have stated a target - 'as high a finish as possible'! - Which of course means sod all and goes hand in hand with their 'pound for pound' bollocks. Really, when they are setting targets, they mean a point at which the bonus scheme kicks in. Guess they'll raise that to 8th next year, but they can't set it yet as it will depend heavily on whether we have a decentish summer, not least because the squad itself needs to believe the target is achievable. midstoon
The fans anger will be simmering all summer & could easily get nasty at the first home game. The problem will be that more than likely the most vocal fans have decided enough is enough and have quit allowing him an easier ride, the only hope if that other fans start turning soon. Guest JS
Those minutes are f***ing cringeworthy. Someone on Twitter last night described the meeting as "good". Was Cheryl Cole there giving blowjobs?

Unfortunately only way to force Ashley to sack him is no one to show up at SJP. I've cancelled my ST but the vast majority won't and people won't stop going to games through blind loyalty to a club that couldn't give a single fuck about them. NewJerseyMag
Such a bizzare decsision from every level to keep him on like. Even if this £60M spiel was true (which it blatantly isn't) why on earth would the board trust AP with this sort of money. 60M to spend is a sizeable investment, especially form Ashley. The man has shown time and time again how players have regressed under him. The players we sign under Pardew simply aren't a long term investment because the majority will regress under his archaic football thus we fail to maximise the resale potential that has underpinned all of our acquisitions in the last half a decade. Furthermore our 2014 so far suggests that things aren't going to improve. Ashley would be forced to sack him if he carried on with this form, then you've got to expect a new manager to come in and work with a players signed over the summer when he wasnt there. Those lot down the road are evidence that its incredibly difficult and takes time. Whats more than likely is that we'll spend little and we'll continue to struggle. Those defending Pardew argue that our poor form is down to a lack of signings, so therefore if we plan to spend nowt, whats the chances of our form changing under Pardew with practically the same group of clearly unmotivated players? None of it makes sense but then again, no decision by the board has ever been well thought out in terms of future strategy or the welfare of the club. Why is it a bizarre decision? Its a symbiotic relationship. No need to change so long as the status quo is maintained.

And there you have it all those people still going next season are the ones keeping this man at the club - well you're welcome to him and to watch the some of the most unattractive football in the history of the club, whilst Mr Ashley continues to laugh at you all. Dokko
I hope he fucking dies the absolute fraudulent cunt. He's killed the club, stamped on its windpipe while it lays in the gutter. Hope we go down, lose every single season ticket holder and cost Ashley a fortune. Then I might considering returning as a fan. I'm done, the club has no soul and there's nothing left to love about it. Fuck you alan, fuck you mike, I hope you catch aids you fucking parasites. People would be content with just a few small changes, unfortunately those changes being enforced would require a totally different attitude from those running the show. Spider Jerusalem
Ashley 'saved' us from being another Leeds or Portsmouth allegedly and made us 'stable'. Or a has turned the club into a soul-less shell of a football club with zero ambition to compete or entertain but only to survive in the top and be used as an advertising hoarding for his primary business concern. Fucking complete shambles.

midds
Just debating it on twitter, but according to the person I'm debating it with it's predominantly "non locals" Who support Pardew. I'd say completely the opposite tbh I don't know anyone who supports him. I know a few who were prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt after last season but every single one now wants the prick turfed. Said it before but the worm hasn't turned it's doing fucking somersaults.

Said it before but the worm hasn't turned it's doing f***ing somersaults. Surprisingly, BeIn Sport's end of season review left no doubt that the majority of Newcastle fans have completely turned on Pardew. Can't remember who the host was, but he along with Dion Dublin and Don Hutchinson talked about it as a matter of fact. Something that the english media are seemingly reluctant to do, as they continue to give Al Pards excuses after excuse. The aforementioned episode spoke of AP as a manager who is sure to be facing the sack. At least someone sees the big picture.
