Jonjo Shelvey (now playing for Çaykur Rizespor, on loan from Nottingham Forest)

Shelvey biggest attribute is his long range passing, he doesn't really offer anything other then that, and Schar and Lejeune off that exact same thing to a similar level. So when we are playing as a 3, he tends to get bypassed, he doesn't get forward enough to offer an additional attacking threat, he doesnt sit back or defend well enough, to be in the team. He's just a pure passenger.

Which is why Rafa played Longstaff and Hayden in the middle, obvs.

And why I don’t get some people’s obsession that 3 CBs = defensive and 4 at the bank = attacking.

That has to be his last game, this team doesn't need a Jonjo Shelvey

Him and Hendrick will start next game. Unless Hayden goes back into cm.

Wouldn't play either cunt.

isnt it their "turn" to drop out?

Just a very poor player now that barely tries. Watch him tonight at the first goal. He isn't actually involved in the goal, but he completely ignored the full back going past him. Had the shot not been as good and the ball come loose, the guy he let go was just waiting in acres. For the move where Leeds hit the outside of the post he was just standing watching as three attackers stood at the edge of the box. It's like this every game he plays.

I dislike him more than Bruce even though Bruce is the one that picks him every week....

Aye there we go.

Total s*** for brains this bloke. Stumbled not so far back in this thread him saying out of nowhere he 'didn't think Dubravka would get a big European move' - missed that one at the time

He's always been a bit of a plonker hasn't he. Plenty managers called him out on his attitude/commitment. Monk publicly called him lazy, Rafa clearly had words. Had his spat of kicking people when he turned up here didn't he. Had that pop at Fergie when he was subbed off playing for Liverpool. Would have loved to have been a fly on some dressing rooms when he was at Liverpool, imagine the likes of Carra, Daglish, Gerrard would have torn him a new one more than once :aww:

Looked like Zidane in the Championship, England rumours came calling for a bit after we came back up, but Rafa had his career on life support. Bruce has turned up, and it's gone now, total mess of a player now.
