Jayson
He was clearly put off by Gayle going for the same ball running towards him.
Lenny
He was clearly put off by Gayle going for the same ball running towards him. There's no excuse for that miss.
Scoot
Not good enough today like for me. Lost the ball far too often. That fucken chance he missed. Dear me!!!
bigfella
annoys me to f*** that he's always trying to nick it past players or through their legs in tight spaces and it never seems to come off so everytime he's in a challenge it's a mini game of pinball and he's never in control My thoughts exactly. He never has full control of the ball, it's so frustrating to watch. Sissoko was similar, but much better, due to his strength and athleticism, literally bulldozering his way through at times. Deuce
In a perfect world where Siem de Jong isn't made of papier-mache, Diame spells Shelvey in that CM role.
SUPERTOON
Been poor in every game, and offers virtually nothing to the side. Hopefully will be dropped for the next games.
TheInfiniteOdyssey
In a perfect world where Siem de Jong isn't made of papier-mache, Diame spells Shelvey in that CM role. Agreed. If kept fit, De Jong would've been a better fit for this formation than Diame or Perez imo.
Dave
I thought he was decent first half, played his part in a good team display. Disappeared second half, apart from what looked like the open goal he missed.

Yeah you can see he's trying to nick it past them so he can burst away with it but he never gets it past the man
Newcastle Fan
I would blame him for costing us the points today, two misses in either half from the same position, his job is to play behind the striker and provide a threat and he's not doing that at all. ponsaelius
He's wank.
Tubestationatmidnight
He's never a number 10 or playmaker in a million years. Like one of the posts above says we should of signed someone more nimble and skillfull who can thread a pass

Tooj
Honestly man, some of the comments now compared to two weeks ago.
TRon
It's pretty typical tbh, I thought he would end up taking Sissoko's place as the dimwit, poor control headless chicken for the usual mob on here. His finishing was awful today, but you can see he's trying to create some space with some of his tricks in tight corners. Nowhere as near as bad as people were making out today other than his shooting which was abysmal.
Shelveys Hair
Have to say he does seem to have a canny knack of nicking the ball from defenders in their half.
Pilko
Diame behind Gayle is absolutely shit
Superior Acuña
Just seen the miss. He should score but it's not as bad as I was expecting after what I'd read. I do think it's because he's put off by Gayle, he's expecting to have to try and divert it around him, so he doesn't put his foot through like he should. Lush Vlad
annoys me to f*** that he's always trying to nick it past players or through their legs in tight spaces and it never seems to come off so everytime he's in a challenge it's a mini game of pinball and he's never in control It would be a lazy comparison to compare him to Sissoko. But that description reminds me of Moussa so much Really not sold on Gayle up front with Diame behind him. Gayle can't play up on his own and Diame doesn't do much to help him. Altamullan
How have we gone from having a five aside team of number 10s to the point of playing somebody who doesn't really look like a number 10?
Aiston
He isn't very good.
Tubestationatmidnight
No other number 10 type players to replace him though. Perez possibly but he hasn't been great. Definitely left ourselves short of creative and goalscoring options
Shearergol
Weird signing. We'll replace him next summer.
