Big Mitoma fan but the Saudis are mental

We've obviously discussed at length on here the investment in us but what they are doing with the league they have is the biggest sporting waste of money the world has ever seen. Once Ronaldo has his boots up they will have a bucket load of overpaid players nobody is interested in.

Exactly, it doesn't even stack up as a sportswashing exercise.

Two or three years into it and the Saudi league is every bit as irrelevant as ever - it is the project of people who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

How many Saudi clubs can we even name?

Al-Nassr

Al-Ettifaq

Al-Yankovic

Al-Jarreau

Al-Gore

And that's about it.

The AFC has a 3 + 1 rule. So you’re allowed 3 internationals and 1 Asian confederation player outside of your own nationality in your team. Assuming they are trying to maximise the quality of their Asian player. Not sure why they aren’t throwing big bucks at Curtis Good.

They even went and put their content on DAZN. Unless you live in the America’s, it’s pretty much a boxing channel.

Not their fault that the deadwood we have are so bad or have turned down moves. Or would you rather they come and buy our top players?

Yes, if they offer £200m for one of our ‘purples’, then yes we should be selling.  If they’re serious about offering £90m for Mitoma, then offering £200m for Gordon in the summer seems reasonable.  I can imagine what Mitchell and Howe could do with that ‘headroom’.

It does start to feel like they're taking the piss out of us a little bit

I know @McCormick has said numerous time there's zero joined up thinking with PIF, but SURELY wor Yasir could have a quiet word to focus on the mainland leagues before empowering our rivals.

Naive I know and i'm more venting than serious.

Not going to happen though for 200 unless it's Isak and I'd be surprised if he would go, looking at where his status is currently.
