Obviously Haaland is amazing and he would be my dream transfer for Newcastle but have Man City strengthened their squad from last season considering whos left the club ? will Haaland suit their style and will he link up play as well as Jesus, do they have enough cover for Sterling, is Phillips better than Fernandinho, will they have defensive cover if Zinchenko and Ake go?

Yes.

Man City selling all these players to Arsenal and Chelsea does rather suggest that they don’t see them as a threat, which is sweet.

Why would they when they are buying better players with the money?

Always love seeing players, particularly former great ones drop down leagues to continue playing, shows their love of the game.

A family friend who lives in LA used to see Klinsmann playing in a local 5-a-side and then got to know him as he’d be coming into a local bar/restaurant in the early mornings to watch the premier league games.

When playing in the local side, he’d be lashing in overhead volleys and screamers from all angles and celebrating like he’d scored the winner in the World Cup final ? really good lad apparently but frugal as fuck

Used to drive a clapped-out Beetle to Spurs’ training ground.

Or they’re struggling to pay off their gambling debts and can’t afford to retire…

Difference being that Owen did it against a 13 year old goalkeeper. Presumably the ‘local side’ are adults. Which makes Owen a cunt and Klinsmann ok.
