Not according to pretty much all official source.

You paid £55m for a 29 year old Wissa and gave him £140k a week.

We paid £65m for a 26 year old Mbeumo and gave him £150k a week.

Mbeumo is 50-70% better mind.

Genuine question here as I know you have tried to move away from the massive wages model Casimiro, Maguire possibly Rashford & Bruno all going will bring that wage bill down.

But do you think your wages are the base pay? By that I mean should you finish in Champions league places this year will those player wages go up by default?

The Champions League clause was well documented. No idea how it is under INEOS. I'm sure the journalists close to the club will be able to confirm it in the summer after we've won the league.

Arsenal signing James Wilson from Hearts on loan with option to buy. Not really had a look in this season but still only 18, has 8 goals in 20+ games and capped by Scotland.

Transfer window has been awful, I can't see Sky been to happy that their transfer window show will fall flat on its face

What a shame for them.

Habib Beye turns out to be a cuck:

Quote

Rennes boss Habib Beye, who played for Newcastle between 2007 and 2009, has been speaking to the media ahead of his side's cup game against Marseille and has been speaking about centre-back Jeremy Jacquet's proposed move to Liverpool.

He described it as "the best deal we could hope for", adding: "We negotiated the transfer, obtained the amount that the club looked for, we respected the player’s wish and we have him for the remainder of the season.

"It’s the reality of the market. The club he joins will offer him Champions League football and what is currently the best league in the world. We simply don’t have the means to fight.

"We have to see it as a privilege."

Hes taking it from Spotrac or Capology, which although it has some inaccuracies it is pretty accurate for the most part.

I can assure you they absolutely aren’t.

Burn it all down.

That sounds like something that's probably unethical but I'm sure it's fine because it's allowed.

It’s massive jump from us, Villa and Spurs to the next level above.

They are our competition, anything more the fanbase should consider a bonus. League cup and 2 CL runs from where we were in October 2021, we have been spoiled.

Depressing but true.

It will remain this way indefinitely unless the rules are changed.

Don't know how long that can stay interesting.
