Newcastle United vs Leicester City - 09/12/17 @ 5.30pm (Live on BT Sport)

Tomorrow is so much more than a normal game. When the 150th celebrations come around its likely a lot of my match friends of an era might not be around. It's likely my mates will have a new generation carrying the torch and hopefully some of my own. Fuck the result. Let's do what we've always done. Be proud to be a Geordie.

Don't think Gayle has the skills to play behind the striker, he's a finisher.  I'd like to see us try Shelvey, Hayden and Merino all together.  Hayden covering behind giving the other two license to get forward and support the attacks.

Get what you are saying. I dont see gayle as a 10.

I was thinking more on a li e up lime that more of a front two with Mitrovic the target and gayle the pick up guy. Bit like Tosh and Keegen. I get it would never happen in this day, and Rafa doesnt take risks.

Maybe swap them and have Mitro playing a bit deeper looking for knock downs and flick ons for Gayle.  Mitro's pretty good at getting the ball to stick and laying it off.

This is a must win seeing that West Ham are now within 2 points of us.

I think a strong solid performance at the back is more important, even if we get a draw. West Ham's confidence has shot up due to their belief in their defensive work rate and resilience.

Hope Rafa puts out a proper team today, one that can win from the start. Feels like it’s been a while since he’s done that.

What's your idea of a team that can win from the start? One of those would be handy, don't know why we don't put them out more often.
