Those comments are ridiculous.

Going into a PL season with 1 striker (who isn’t a striker), 1 injury prone and 1 slightly less injury prone/Championship standard.

Yet he’s happy with that unless we find someone better?... Steve, literally any available striker is better.

Absolutely criminal and a disgrace this useless shithead is NUFC manager in 2020. Even worse with his manure and Sunderland loving connections. Despise him. The biggest ever stain on our club other than Ashley and we have both at once man

Indeed. A total and utter compliant yes man. Can't stand the guy.

Yes it is criminal but don't blame Bruce, blame Ashley. He's the idiot who decided employing Bruce was a good idea. Every single thing that is shit at NUFC from Bruce to Charnley is all down to Mike fucking Ashley.

Good luck in finding one for £10m - which is probably about as optimistic as you can get when it comes to budget for a striker.

Realistically there's no way we can buy a decent striker for anything less than £30m unless he's about 34, and that would be red flagged for lack of resale value. Bruce is just coming out with that whitewash because that is literally his job now. To rubber stamp our beggars budget.

It'll be Batshauyi on loan imho.

No chance imo. He would he too costly and have too many better options than to come to us. We never seem to get the top 6 teams cast offs either. That should be our market loaning fringe players from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal but we don’t even bother doing that.

Don’t need to spend a penny.

Any unattached striker would be better than having just those 3. To be fair, some of those unattached strikers are better than them too

It's surprising just how many of the worst strikers in the world we always seem to have in our team in any given season. I've seen foaming rage at us fielding the likes of Shola, DeJong, Tomasson, Riviere, Guivarch, Andersson, Joselu and now Joelinton.

Every time, whichever striker is wearing the current number 9 shirt, he's the absolute worst we've ever had. So without spending big money, don't be shocked if whichever dud comes in next is equally as bad. Although from Bruce's quotes it seems he realises it as well and so is giving up the fight before he's even taken his coat off.

Especially when the likes of Bournemouth and Southampton have 2 or 3 that would walk into our side.

Yeah seems every other side buys better strikers than us, even when we spend 10's of £millions more. I suppose we just have a deliberate policy of poor scouting combined with age restrictions which means we always end up with the worst strikers in the division. I can't stand Bruce, but with those policies in place, no wonder he's reluctant to bring in the next dud.

Is this Vogon still our f***ing Manager Head Coach, or is he dead, not a word after the last game!

Look up Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.......everytime I see him I think of this.....all I need is him to burst out with some poetry

:spit:

I know about 15 amateur footballers that are better than what we have.

from that interview....

"I was really impressed with Dwight at the end of the season, the way he finished.

"He had four in seven games when he was getting a bit fit.

"He’s come back and burst on to the scene.

"He’s looking in tip-top shape. He had two bad injuries last year."

An almost-30 year old journeyman "bursting onto the scene"

Someone called him a Vogon in another thread - and listening to Bruce's press conferences is exactly like listening to a Vogon poetry recital...
