"We accept that and move on"

Nevermind about working on what went wrong and why then.

Just move on and forget about it.

Seriously this twat doesn't even deserve to be a Sunday league manager.

He's used that bullshit line so many times in the last 18 months it's untrue.

It's new version of 'dust worselves doon'.

The guy is a total PFM.

Steve Bassett: NUFC Manager.

I wouldn't trust him with the domino card.

This is the domino card he's most used to.

Is he a golfer? Being part of some society that other managers and ex players are is the only reason I can think of as to why they would stick up for him when every bit of common sense tells a different story.

The whole implosion is all too predictable. A new manager takes just over a season to undo the routines a previous manager had, he’s been riding the coat tails of Rafa’s work for 12 months and now that the older players are starting to forget and the new ones never exposed to it, well, here we are.

It’s reached a point when the decline will be sharp and brutal.

Clicked for like 30 seconds of his press conference and it was depressing and annoying. “Make no mistake, that’s the premier league” fuck off

I literally can't bare to listen to his weird accent never mind the utter shite he comes out with!

He certainly is. Plays with Shearer a lot.

Also has a villa in Portugal next to Shearers where they golf together.

Loves collecting weird little stats that make him sound better, this daft cunt.

2 of those games were against Everton and Southampton, and they were missing their best players.

Twat.

One of those games we could have went top 4 ourselves. Doesn’t mention that the knob.

We accept that and move on = "stop mentioning how fucking shit we're playing, it's making me look daft. We're winging it and I've not got a clue how to change anything to stop the slide so let's draw a line under it and look ahead without any challenge or scrutiny of myself as manager of the team."

When Chronicle Live put the recent catalogue of negative stats to the Newcastle manager, he responded: "Look you can look at the statistics as much as you want.

"Our defensive record is on par with Liverpool, yet we're the same as Sheffield United? (at the bottom based on stats).

"You can have all sorts of statistics.

"For me, we have not played well enough in the last two games.

"Against two very good teams, one, and I will be brutally honest, are miles better than us.

"However, I do understand we have conceded twice early and that set us back in both matches.

He reflected: "I am never one to make excuses. We have not played well enough.

"It is now a big opportunity now (at Palace) and I can do one of two things, change personnel or change the system, which I am looking at, looking at a bit of both.

"I have always said that we have to be adaptable to play two different ways.

"If you do look over the last six months in particular.

"We have had the ability to adapt, playing three at the back or five at the back against the bigger teams.

"Then there are the teams who I think we can take on, and we will go in a different way."

Bruce said: "If we go toe-to-toe with a Man City and try to play the way they do and push the full-backs up the pitch and play open and expansively, we will get turned over like everybody else does.

"Can I change it? I try to find a way.

"Last year we picked up 10 points against the top six.

"We beat Chelsea, we drew with Man City, we beat Man United and Tottenham.

"We did it by playing a certain way.

"That is the way I see it and how I've tried to be."

"Against Bournemouth (last season) away we played a 4-2-3-1 - that is my preferred way of playing but I do believe if I played that way against the big teams we'd get turned over."

Bruce said: "The one thing I would never try to do with the public here is pull wool over their eyes.

"Look, in the last couple of games we did not play well enough against two teams that are better than us.

"So I understand it (criticism) totally.

"But two or three weeks ago we played Everton, played very well on the day against a team that could have gone top of the league and beat them.

"We went to Wolves who have been seventh twice and we got a respectable draw.

"We have played well against Burnley and West Ham too - so let's not all dive into the negativity.

"I understand what we are judged on.

"Again, we have not played well enough or been good enough.

"Against Chelsea in particular they are just a far, far better team than we are."

"Chelsea have transformed themselves overnight.

"They have spent £300m on six or seven players on top of what they already had.

"We have spent £34million.

"I can't change us around and say here we go. I understand that it is all about style and that is in the debate too.

"I remember at Aston Villa this was lodged against me there, but hang on a minute, we nearly got up through the play-offs, and when I left in 2018 when I got the sack we'd scored as many as Man City!

"All am I asking is people asking to be balanced and fair. I can't change us overnight like we'd all love to."

Sounds like the pressure is getting to him based on that response. He doesn’t read social media though...

The line about having a defence as good as Liverpool’s is just comical too. We’ve conceded 15 goals in 9 games which would equate to 63 goals over a whole season. Somehow I can’t see Liverpool conceding 63 goals

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.... Steve, Steve, Steve......

Where to begin with that verbal diarrhea?!

I'll just leave this nugget:

"It is now a big opportunity now (at Palace) and I can do one of two things, change personnel or change the system, which I am looking at, looking at a bit of both.
