Holloway
On a mission. See you sunday bonny laird.
LiquidAK
Absolutely brilliant today. Wonder if being in a situation where the team is fucked and we're trying valiantly to turn it around just suits him, he can be the hero and go on all these mazy runs. Â Play like that on Sunday and we're taking that cup home like.
tommo
Class today.
andyc35i
He excels when the shape and structure is thrown out the window and he can just play. I miss watching those runs forward where you don’t know what the hell is going to happen next
Kid Icarus
We finally look like we're going to get a tune out of him and that happens
HaydnNUFC
Class today. 1v1 with yards to run into he's electric. Just need to give him minutes, same with Isak.
Gallowgate Toon
Liked his #10 position understanding, made good passing decisions.
Tsunami
This might sound a bit mad but I think he looked better today because we had to change our style and look to flair and something different.  it reminded me a bit of Bruce, get the ball to Maxi and hope something happens.
Willow
Unreal performance and so deserving of a goal. We really need him right now and works well with Isak so far, we just need that goal to top it off
Guybrush
Absolutely class today like. Night and day from last week. Â As others have said I think he suits the 'give it to Maxi' main man mantra over the 'cog in a well drilled machine'. Surely there's a way to let him be a bit more of a maverick without compromising everything Howe is aiming for?
Holloway
That's a nice performance there, prowling the Wembley turf next sunday ?

alexf
Yeah he looked on it today even before the red and looked set to give TAA a hard game on the left. But feel like we may have stumbled on his best role by putting him more central as a 2. Really hope he can carry that into the final and with 11 and Bruno we can really scare those Manc twats. Attack is the best form of defence. Especially with out keeper situation.  Edit. Also not seen him run into the channels and stretch the game as much before as he was doing today. Recently he just wanted everything to feet. But he has the speed to stretch teams. Edited February 18, 2023 by alexf
NWMag
Really liked him and Isak as a front 2 today, got me thinking about how a 532 or a 442 narrow (4 CMs) would go.  although I’m not suggesting we completely change the system based on one game.
Aiston
Another good performance next week please!
Wilson
Quality today.  Still feel he's lacking a bit confidence to take his man on compared to how he used to be. Again, not sure if it's down to him trying to be more of a team player or worried about the reaction if he loses it, pulls it back much more these days.  Love the bloke and hate the grief he gets.
KetsbaiaIsBald
I think he's kind of been in a place when he keeps the ball he feels like he's spoiling our overall team play. Â He's passed at times when he could have done more. Â Yesterday gave him the chance to be a bit more "selfish" and was excellent. Â I really hope he can find that balance where he has the confidence to do his magic but also can recognise when to not! Â Â
ExiledGeordie
Looks like he’s coming into the kind of form to cause teams all sorts of problems. He’ll be a massive threat for us at the weekend.
KetsbaiaIsBald
Just now, ExiledGeordie said: Looks like he’s coming into the kind of form to cause teams all sorts of problems. He’ll be a massive threat for us at the weekend.  I really hope so.  Eddie calling him out for his display will hopefully give him some confidence for next weekend. gbandit
There’s a reason why his two best performances this season were against City and Liverpool. I love him when he has space to run into and he’s not facing a low block. In fairness yesterday he also made the right decision again and again. I don’t necessarily want him to be the most consistent player as that’s not realistic with flair players with such fantastic dribbling quality but if he can build on making the right decisions more and more then he can be such a huge asset
Lush Vlad
He’ll probably be up against Wan Bissaka in the final, mind. Not many players get the better of him.  ASM might be coming off the wing a lot to find some space.  Which might be a good thing. Luckily for us. Wan Bissaka isn’t great going the other way.
Coffee_Johnny
If Willock is out Maxi starts, right? Almiron, Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton the others. Pretty happy with that middle three. Would like to see Bruno the, more often, more advanced role.
Stottie
Just on the Liverpool game, but his best chance and the ball in for the Isak swivel shot came with ASM on the right.
Oregon_Geordie
ASM has to start. Not his number one fan but I'd start him after yesterday. I'd actually just let him do what the fuck he wants and cause havoc. Him and Isak team up well, be interesting to see them with Bruno pulling the strings.
