huss9
fuck me. Royal Albert Hall being opened for 3000 spectators (nearly 60% capacity) but still not a fucker allowed inside a football stadium. wtf?
Dinho lad
Probably because football would involves more people breaking the social distancing rules. Not just because a lot of football fans are thick, but also because the emotion of the games might cause people to not stay still within their space (ie, if daft cunts run off to a corner to celebrate where players are celebrating). wyn davies
still can't get my head round it. can sit outdoors for a concert, indoors in a pub, restaurants and even a thatre/cinema ffs. but not outdoors in a stadium 10 feet away from anyone else. why not more media pressure for the government to explain the discrepancy? It's what happens ourside the ground, try the metro at finishing time or the rush to get out of the ground at final whistle no chance of social distancing

Rafalove
The campaign to allow fans back in seems to be ramping up. Against it personally. No point risking the lives and economy of the country for football.

Minhosa
Find it fucking ironic that NUFC twitter page is asking NUFC fans to support getting fans back in stadiums when it benefits them but completely fucking ignore fans at all other times. Cunts. The lot of'em.
jdckelly
seems a strange time to be campaigning to allow fans back in with the case numbers rising as they are. They might be lucky not to have football shut down again before the end of the year

No point risking the lives and economy of the country for football. I'm all for it. No worse then going to your local supermarket. Not at all. You have to remember these people will be getting a bus together, going to the pub before and after the match together, popping into shops onto the way or way out etc. You could segregate and have people enter and leave stadiums in blocks, but how long will it be before clubs want more and more people back. We won’t get a month in before clubs will be wanting near full allocations, which will only be 2 rounds of league games. The country, an in particular the north and football hearts lands are on the verge of a new and severe outbreak, some say we already are in it. It would be reckless to allow fans back in. We have the Northern cities actually asking for powers to be able to stop people from taking advantage of the rules and potentially to tighten restrictions. TRon
Unbelievable this shite about trying to get fans back into the ground while we have record cases ffs. It's the economy innit guv? At some point we'll probably do another U-turn and claim we are going the Sweden route to herd immunity. Fans being back in the ground will certainly help there. Interpolic
I'm fucking furious at that like. Having all the games on the telly recently has been really good and made perfect sense given there were no fans in the ground. But as usual, the greedy cunts can't fucking help themselves. Depressing.
