The Premier League fit and proper tests have probably been done already, they will just be sitting on them for a bit to let everyone think they were seriously considering it all with parts of the media throwing in concerns here there and everywhere.  "Look at us we really care" where really they would have stamped it with approval after 5 minutes. the little tinkers.

Apologies if this has already been asked or covered, but does anyone know what is covered in this "fit and proper" owner's test?

It's basically all financial criteria I think. Have they ever been bankrupt, have they got any fraud convictions etc?

Aye Steve cancelled all the meetings yesterday. The new owners are just sitting around waiting for the green light from Mr Newcastle.

I think if we get a DoF in, technical director whatever then it won’t be Rafa who is our next manager.

Rafa is a manager/DoF hybrid. He’s that good. But I can’t see him working under anyone above him in a DoF role, as he wants all the control. And rightly so in my opinion.

theres one bit thats interesting reading the premier league handbook rules on the test to quote

Dishonestly receiving a programme broadcast from within the UK with intent to avoid payment

now as far as I understand from reading the rules laid out there it requires a conviction in court for this to come into play but given the issues Bien Sports has with their channels just being stolen and rebroadcast from within Saudi Arabia it could cause some interesting questions from the premier league

Following a takeover is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman

You think it's going to happen and then ultimately it never does?

Thinking you are about to pull out then splurging all those millions

Slightly concerned that the new owners criteria for a new manager seems to be the quality of the manager, rather than how much of a "nice" bloke they are and which team their father supported.

The minute they sit down and speak with Bruce they'll know he's a mess and understand what must be done.

You just know hell put on his poshest of posh geordie voices trying to impress. Bet he's home now using the thesaurus on word to expand his vocabulary.

Taking over a football club is very much like making love to a beautiful woman

First of all you have to express your interest, chat her up, take her for a curry, tell her how much you like her ill-fitting jeans.

Then you enter her data room, make your deposit and if youre adventurous like me, you might like to try sportswashing.

Then you sit back, light your pipe and admire your handiwork.

Rafa is both a nice bloke and a top quality manager.

Didn't support the club as a boy though so that puts him behind Bruce.
