Right. But you won’t get a suitable replacement for that price.

That’s not the point of selling under FFP though, is it? We couldn’t replace ASM with the fee we got for him either. As TCD says, we should (and probably would) only consider selling if we get an offer that’s too good to refuse. All that said, this is a non story as I don’t believe anyone credible has linked Spurs to Callum at all, have they?

No way we are selling him IMO, whatever the bid - even if there was one.

If he stays fit this season, which should be easier to achieve as we have a lot more cover in Isak, Gordon, Anderson and even big Joe - so he can be rested more.  He is good for 15-20 this season...  That is virtually impossible to replace without spending £60M+, which was cannot do.

He is a good character, Howe knows him inside out so he is going nowhere.

I can understand people thinking that its not a bad time to sell him.

1 year left of his contract.

Has had a prolonged injury free spell, increasing his transfer value

Opens up room for spending FFP wise

Really like him and the attitude he has shown fighting for his place back in the team though, so I rather want him to stay personally.

Of course there is a level of bid where we fold and sell . As good as Wilson is, he’s also 31, quite injury prone and in the final year of his contract. If someone desperate offers what we consider over the odds we will sell and look to replace. The same is true for all our players of course, but for the three reasons mentioned particularly for Wilson (and therefore for a lower fee than we would consider parting with someone like Isak or Bruno).

Pointless having smug conversations about it because he won’t be going….! [emoji38] Maybe next season or so given his age, but he’s definitely got goals in him and along with that we have Isak along with potentially Gordon, Anderson and Willock as back.up. So, not happening. If you’re board, go out for a walk or play on your PS3 or something because Wilson being sold, it just isn’t happening.

C.27-31 used to be considered a centre forward’s prime.

Wilson could have another five years left - comfortably - scoring goals in the PL.  He didn’t look like he was slowing down towards the end of last season.  You sell a player like that if you have a replacement ready to go.

Wilson so underrated really. We won't be selling him until his legs fall off. An excellent finisher and doesn't even rely on pace so hopefully got a few years left in him if he's well managed. He's hungry too and competitive.

Yep.  He only leaves if he wants to leave in the next couple of years I reckon.
