Rich
Was surely someone, or a collective of people, off here. Genuinely no clue but have my suspicions. Massive miss, even though it got a bit wrapped up in itself by the end.
RS
I can only assume that Ashley is using this club as a social experiment to see how often he can crush a section of the population then bring them back again. (Like a spin on Trading Places). There cannot be another reason for a company making the same repeated mistakes. it got to be on purpose now.

ToonArmy1892
I wonder if there is any club in the top leagues of Europe that is ran as shoddily as Ashley runs us, it's hard to imagine. Edited March 30, 2021 by ToonArmy1892

There are plenty of worse run clubs in England and in Europe, in many ways it's the cynical way Ashley runs the club as a constant botch job that actually makes it worse - he'll stick some sellotape over it when the roof starts leaking. At least if you just plummet down the divisions, you tend to get change because the club becomes a money sink (e.g. Sunderland, who have objectively been worse run than us for years, across multiple ownerships). It's the constant aim for 5/10 that sucks the life out of everything. At least if we were just beyond shit and 19th in the Championship we wouldn't have to listen to "you're in the Premier League, what more do you want?", including from our own supporters. Yorkie
Objectively there are worse run clubs but I wonder how many clubs have a significant portion of its fanbase which no Ionger feels anything at all/call themselves ex-fans.
Sima
I don't think there are may wilfuly worse run clubs than us around the top leagues in Europe. Take Sunderland for example, that was a host of poor decisions but it wasn't for Short's lack of trying. He just appointed awful people in key positions by error of judgment. It's nothing like Ashley's hiring of an ex-casino boss or a subservient penpusher. Edited March 30, 2021 by Sima

Ben
Everything that this shell of a club has done over the past 18 months just points towards an extended spell in the Championship, older poor players on long high paid contracts, terrible tactics, no work ethic, the ability to just exist, a fan base that complains but goes anyway. We are just another Sunderland, Forest, Sheff Wed, Derby, Middlesbrough, Birmingham or any other former big club that has been miss-managed into a middle table mess. Kanj
We’re easily the worst run club as it relates to potential if ran correctly. Just kick a few clubs out like ours in other leagues across Europe and we’re easily top 1-3 of that list. We’d be worse off if it wasn’t for Rafa and Chris Hughton

They probably don't have one but I'd love to see an organisational structure get made public so it became common knowledge how many gaps there are and how little the club does, on purpose, compared to it's peers.
