Hughesy
At least Arsenal need a result vs Sunderland and Norwich with West Ham and Man United winning tonight.

Ikon
Please stay up NUfC, and let Rafa rebuild the whole shit. Never allowed to be happy as a toon faan....
stoli
40 points is a bridge too far for us, but can see West Brom not winning another game.
relámpago blanco
Id rather take a risk with Rafa's plan whatever it is than rely on lazy players having a decent game at the same time like our other good results have come this season.
cp40
40 points is a bridge too far for us, but can see West Brom not winning another game. 4 straight wins- 41 points would keep us up. 3 wins and a draw and 39 points is the min it will take for us to survive imo- gonna fall short, my real hope is raffa has decided hes staying for a year in the championship to rebuild. sugoinufc
Its crucial that Leicester are champions before the last match and spurs safe on 2nd place.
lovejoy
Its crucial that Leicester are champions before the last match and spurs safe on 2nd place. yep, we need leicester to win the title before the last day, no question.
nufcjb
They need 9points from their 4 games left. Less points if Spurs slip up.
South-Cheshire-Toon
Or we need Spurs to be Champions and not catchable by the last game.
Interpolic
They need 9points from their 4 games left. Less points if Spurs slip up. They only need 8.
Dr.Spaceman
I'm firmly of the belief that 35 points keeps us up. Dunno why I keep doing the score predictor thing, it's just going to make it that little bit worse if/when we do go down.
thomas
Went with 7 this time. Stupid hope.

Karjala
They need 9points from their 4 games left. Less points if Spurs slip up. They only need 8. Can see them beating Swansea and Everton, maybes a draw at best at Manure. So, need Spuds to lose before they play us: West Brom (H), Chelsea (A), Southampton (H) - Looks like we need to pray Chelsea beat them.
TRon
As expected, Everton and Watford have given up. We're fucked. Pretty much. For us to stay up I think we'll need to win our last three games as I'm assuming we won't get anything more than a point at best at Anfield. If it was Norwich or Sunderland in that position I'd be feeling pretty confident of our chances. They were lucky to get their games against us right at the beginning of Rafa's stint before his methods had time to make an impact. They were also lucky that Ashley and Charnley were prepared to stick their head in the sand for so long and hope it would turn out okay rather than act and put things right. joeyt
Sunderland are going to stay up with that point they won at anfield aren't they with a paedo scoring the equaliser
Andy84
The mackems failed to beat or score a goal against an absolutely wretched West Brom team. Think we are talking them up tbh.
joeyt
We couldn't even beat Villa at home
Leazes_End_Mag
The mackems failed to beat or score a goal against an absolutely wretched West Brom team. Think we are talking them up tbh. Not sure the last time I seen Sunderland look poor or disinterested to the levels that we've reached at times this season. They've looked fairly solid lately and with Defoe up front, I'd expect them to get at least 5 points v Everton, Stoke and Watford. They could certainly pick up points at home v Arsenal and Chelsea too. For us to have to win possibly 3 out of the last 4 is a massive ask.
Superior Acuña
Those saying 'we couldn't even beat Villa at home', well 'Spurs couldn't even draw with us at home'. Our draw with Villa doesn't suggest we can't beat them away and Spurs's defeat to us doesn't mean they can't beat us away.
Guest
Aye, if Spurs couldn't beat us at home under McClaren, they've got no chance up here under Rafa. Football doesn't work like that.
Karjala
We couldn't even beat Villa at home de Jongs missed header at an empty goal from 2yds out was the start of the downfall, and will cost us dearly.
Mick
Avoid defeat tomorrow and we really have a good chance, we can win the two after tomorrow and then it's a case of what Spurs have to play for and how much we want the last 3 points of the season.
