This won't land well but I'd like to see Isak drop into a free roaming role and this land as the spearhead. Unless of course this creates a Demba Ba dummy spit, then Isak stays upfront

There's 20 goals a piece in that partnership and I reckon Isak would really enjoy the freedom to do whatever the fuck he wants to whatever defence takes his fancy

How about they read each other's games so both are capable of dropping deeper and roaming while the other stays higher ?

Or they both drop deeper into the spaces between the lines and feed it right and left to let Gordon and Elanga run on to it. It would be really tough to defend against

Remember when Isak played on the left when Wilson was functional. He was incredible. We shouldn't play him there but I also don't think he is suited to being a central forward alone despite how brilliant he is at it.  If they can learn to play together christ.

This is how Isak play for Sweden with Gyökeres up top.

EAI or IAE

Up the Premier League we go

dammit i went and youtube scouted him and now i desperately want him. The amount of one-touch lay-offs to put it on a plate for his mates were pretty nice. Isak will love playing with him. Dribbling, size, pace, finishing. Looks to have it all.

Both depending on game situations.  They have the capabilities.

So let's say this does happen?

That means all the moneys gone right? 😂

I'm joking but surely it makes convincing Scalvini/Guehi/Gallagher to come here just that bit easier. You'd like to think so anyway. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm still not trusting this one until we've put a bid in.

Does he work in the 5-2-3 we saw in fits and starts last season? I know we were bobbins against Everton on the last day but against the right opponents I've thought it's looked really good. It was a great watch against Arsenal in the cup and Chelsea at home, until they went a man down and banjaxed our gameplan, the hateful cunts.

Agree - I imagine they'll rotate for periods and play together for periods.

They can both play off the shoulder or come deep/wide and be more of a playmaker. As a partnership one can come short and link while the other keeps the back line occupied. As both can do both roles it could be a pretty fluid, exciting partnership.

Plus if one picks up a knock we'd still have a top striker to lead the line.

And if, god forbid, Isak doesn't want to sign a new deal, we've got his replacement sorted and bedded in already when we sell him for a fortune.

Imagine if we sign Scalvini as well

And Gallagher and the the only poor sod we don't end up signing is Trafford. Then all these top quality £50M+ Footballers will have to watch the ball fly over their head from his every kick.

Absolutely, they're so good that they could switch positions several times during the game without having to make a sub. Versatility is huge :)

Loan Gallagher and buy him in July :aww:

In that I'd be tempted to go with Barnes. He's more likely to move into the centre when there's a gap. The movement of that three could be terrifying

Even though weve had long standing interest. This could actually be considered "out of the blue".

There was absolutely no sign of this happening a couple of days ago.

Apart from Edwards telling you all 2 days ago…

Maybe the budget is 150m and one of the signings has to be loan with obligation to buy.

Isak plays with Gyorkes for Sweden. He’s used to playing with another striker and doesn’t strike me as a “I must score all the goals”. He’ll just want to win games, trophies and this signing would help that.

Plus when he does drop off to get ball on half turn, he’ll have one more player higher up to play the ball to / in behind.

Could argue it was out of the blue that Edwards got one right for once.
