He just looked really angry at the end and Eddie was checking he was okay. Didn’t see him limping or owt like that

He was 100% limping after playing a ball to Big Jow right at the end. Glad to see him smiling afterwards so hopefully nothing too bad.

Ya Eddie asked him if he was ok and he pointed to something. Eddie looked concerned. But later on seemed Bruno was smiling and al that And seemed normal in the team photo too. Hope it’s just he has a sore whatever and he’s ok.

His mentality is exceptional. He always wants the ball and he’s always one the first to close down the opponent if they have it.

That mindset coupled with a fair degree of talent makes him invaluable.

Aye. He's getting man-marked in every game now so he needs to move to get the ball and he's doing it.

Once the opponent is really chasing, he gets a little more space and he just takes over the game.

The man marking gives others a little more space too.

Think he is the most crucial player in the squad just ahead of Trippier. If he gets injured, there is no one who would come close to replicating what he brings to the team not that I think there is a player out there, who could do what he does regardless.

Other key players would be replaced by the stated players below.

Krath for Trippier.

Wilson for Isak.

Dubravka for Pope

Paqueta was closing him down similar to man marking at the start of the game but once we went 2-0 up and then 3-1, their game plan went out of window.

Remember when people wanted him moved from his position in the middle :yao:

He pulls all the strings from where he is and makes us what we are. Even when they try to man mark him it doesn’t stop him. The bloke is unbelievable and perfect for the role he is doing.

Every single time I want him as an 8, he puts in a master class like he did yesterday and Sunday where he’s doing it all from his “base” position. I’ve sort of maintained that the best way to have Bruno at his peak powers is to have 2 other midfielders with top level engines and that continues to prove right with Willock, Joelinton and Longstaff this season.

The only way id be fine with moving Bruno further up is if we added a 6 who had the ability to cover ground like our current grouping does.

I think Bruno himself wants to play further forward. We'd be daft not to sign a DM to give us the option.

Or preferably one that can do things going forward as well as defensively. Would make us less predictable and give us much better tactical versatilty. Both before a game as well as swapping roles during a game if needed.

As in a strong dynamic box to box midfielder that has good technical and tactical ability

He was amazing tonight

No he wasn’t ? He was better second half and more so because WHU had dropped off badly after conceding the third but was overrun the first half.

Still waiting for him to dominate a top team away from home. Watched Enzo properly for the first time on Tuesday and you can see what the extra £65m gives you as ridiculous as that fee was. The extra pace, power and mobility. That bit extra top midfielders have.

Still love him though ? Hope he makes me eat my words at Stamford Bridge last game of the season if there’s something to play for.

I think any modern day DM needs to be excellent on the ball.

Bruno is much better than Enzo.

For sure mate, just added my thoughts. Would be nice with one that can offer things going forward, whether that is ball carrying ability/dribbling or progressive passing.

You can easily flip that and say West Ham only had their 10 minutes of joy because we sat off after going 2-0 up. Even at HT, Bruno's stats were great.

It's a bit weird to label Fernandez a top midfielder and then say Bruno isn't. So far, in the PL, Bruno is more successful at dribbling, duels, intercepting, gets dribbled past less, loses the ball less, and is more of a goal threat.
