He was the best of the three today, Tonali was very poor and Joelington was not good either

He was the worst IMO, Joelinton was better able to handle their quick movement.

If Barca were thinking of buying him a couple of years ago and he fancied that as an eventual destination, he won't have done any favours with yesterday's performance.

Disagree totally, but you're entitled to your opinion

Bruno gets the brunt at times because he does get dispossed with the ball in our half a few times, but that's something you have to tolerate with him when he is then sliding balls outwide to Murphy for the goal (and sliding a lovely one through to Elanga first half when on egde of box). He's literally the only player we have in our squad who can play those passes around the box and I'd want to see him more there.

His awareness and vision is so sharp when looking for openings it's kind of frustrating that it seems to desert him when he gets caught frequently in dangerous situations,I do wonder whether he'll learn to lay it off or it remains a glaring weakness in his game. I love the rest of his contributions,he's a great player

You can see what a difference he makes. The drop off from him is really significant.
If we had someone who could do a decent job at 6 then we could at try Tonali a little further forward to see if he can open up defences a little.

Couple of examples yesterday of beautiful interplay passing involving Tonali going forward. Such an intelligent footballer.

It's a seismic change in managerial approach, to be fair. Looks like Eddie's had some major reflections on two years ago.

Aye. And my post was after Bruno had played in altitude midweek, then 2 back to back 90s - the only Brazilian player to complete 90 to do that.

I do think we need another genuine option at CM.

Completely on board with resting him. after Bradford, we have Arsenal, Union SG away and then Forest at home. We will want him to play all 3 of those (in 7 days) so it makes sense to rest him for this, and also presumably Bradford too.

I think he'll play a half against Bradford.

He shouldn't need to though. Let Miley have another 90 mins and keep Bruno fresh for Arsenal. Maybe give him a 20 min run out just to keep his eye in.
