Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes but face competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid, unless Newcastle United can convince the 24-year-old to sign a new contract with them. (TNT Sports - in Portuguese)

We're never selling him this window and no amount of outlets trying to get October transfer story clicks will change that

He’s in love with NUFC, he’s going nowhere. We’ll match his ambition too. He’s here for the ride :indi:

There is a reason why I am.a bit more confident that this lad will not simply move to another club when an offer comes in because he genuinely loves the club. Other players previoulsy simply went for the money and prestige of playing for a bigger club but this lad came here when he knew full well he could have gotten relegated with us.  Ow he wants to be part of something here.

Having said that, only Real or Barca that can sway him later down the road. I don't think he'll not be bothered about joining any of the big 6.

If he starts/plays for Brazil in the WC then I see no reason for him to leave here. The form he's showed for us since joining has launched him into contention in that Brazil team, he was a bit-part/breakthrough player beforehand.

Just your standard media hacks thinking any team which breaks up the ranking of their favourites is obligated to surrender their best players to said favourites.

The level of entitlement is ridiculous.

Great how Klopp and the Liverpool fans all complain about our unlimited funds then their fans start voicing that they should be all over Bruno and get him in. Right there the self entitlement and need to smash the “Big 6” establishment.

If we keep growing and building like we think and hope we do there’s not a chance he leaves, but for a 9 digit sum 4-5 years from now to a club like Real Madrid. However, look at their recruitment and who they’ve signed - they have some world class players at similar age who could be there for a decade.

This all starts with which ex players they have covering mainstream football. Neville, Carragher, Redknapp, Souness, Keane, Micah Richards etc.

Even when you have Shearer and Lineker the tone dampens from that somewhat.

There's nothing more annoying than "it's a matter of time before a big club comes looking". Especially annoying when they are talking about a player from a traditional big club like Leeds, Villa, Newcastle, Everton and going to traditionally smaller clubs like Chelsea and City.

Its been a long time since "size" of club meant anything of worth. Back in the day it was stadium, reputation, following, now its finance and recent success.

Can't wait until we win something and people accuse us of only being big because of money.

sadly there will inevitably come a point in the near future where we have to start smashing our wage structure to keep playes like bruno.

even he is going to get his head turned if clubs offer to double or triple his salary.
