Souness on talksport hammering us yet again. Said the Newcastle job made him quite football, Howe didn’t deserve his new contract yet, the usual pish about fan expectation and of course a couple of digs at the ownership

we really fucked him up didn’t we

Yes I'm sure it was us rather than the fact that he'd either done nothing (Southampton) or completely fucked up (Liverpool, Benfica, Galatasaray, us) every job he'd had since the blank cheque book and more money than the rest of the league combined at Rangers where he bombed in Europe every time.

Twat of a bloke.

One thing I've often wondered. About 90% of home matches we tend to be shooting into the Gallowgate in the second half. Obviously not the case yesterday, and Liverpool came to mind towards the back end of last season, but in most cases we do - how does that work? It surely can't be a coin toss, so is it generally a Gentleman's agreement type of thing?

Apparently we prefer to kick down the hill in the second half. Although not as severe as in the past there is still a noticeable slant on the pitch. Gallowgate end being about 10 inches (guess) lower than the Leazes.

Win the coin toss and you choose to kick off or switch ends. Some managers believe it’s an advantage if we attack the Gallowgate in the second half.

When The Leazes was the home end pretty sure we attacked that 2nd half (memory from Super Mac’s home debut and watching the abandoned Forest game the other day, and McFaul running away from Rangers fans).

Souness is a fucking prick. I'd love for someone to actually have a straight shoot out conversation with him who can call him out for his outright bullshit.

He was the original Bruce when it came to deflecting and deferring any criticism.

Annoyingly his prominence on sky for all these years has enabled him to continue his false narrative ever since.
