Alexander Isak: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)

Recommended Posts

I actually feel Merson has been taken out of context on that interview and been done a bit dirty tbh

If you watch the full segment he constantly bigs up how fantastic and big a club we are, says we we're magnificent against Arsenal and that if we qualify for CL or start winning cups then why should he move as we're also potentially massive. Think it was more Hayley McQueen constantly asking him about Arsenal needing strikers and even said to him would Isak be a good fit

Heres a question. With Isak, Gyokeres, Kulusevski and Elanga, why are Sweden so shite?

Same as Norway I assume with Haaland, Ødegaard, Bobb, Sørloth and Nusa. Most of the players behind them are utter shite and rather than trying to play to their strengths, the managers tries to plug the leaky defence.

What irritates me most about this garbage that Sky keep spouting about Isak to Arsenal is that not one of these pundits are entertaining the idea that Isak might not actually want to leave and it's entirely possible he loves it here. Everytime you watch us on Sky or there's a segment on us on SSN they keep churning out this perception that Isak is just mulling around at Newcastle and he's just waiting and hoping that Arsenal swoop in and rescues him from Newcastle. The arrogance and delusion is incredible.

If they think he's too good for Newcastle then he's sure as shit way too good for Arsenal. If and when he does leave then he deserves to go somewhere that does wins trophies, not to a team of nearly men managed by the biggest wet-wipe in the league with the most mentally unhinged set of fans in the country.

This cunt is the worst.

Realistically I think Real Madrid is the only club that would be willing to pay what he would cost and he would potentially want to go to, PSG could afford him but I don't think he'd want to play there, Man City could afford him but I can't see them being in the market for him while they have Haaland. He's played himself way out of Arsenal's league.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a striker that has that knack of making the ball stick to them quite like he does. Im not just talking about his first or second touch, just the amount of times I’ve seen a ball played to him and I think it’s going to bounce awkwardly or just not going to reach him cleanly and he manages to fully take it into his stride.

This is what Spurs had to put up with for years with Kane. The media were selling him for about 5 years before he left Tottenham. I can't see it this summer for Isak unless it's a superclub or possibly Liverpool as a panacea to the fanbase should they lose Salah and Trent. That being said I don't where they stand from a PSR point of view as both of those would on free transfers so not much incoming unless I'm mistaken. Summer 26 depending where we are I'd say is far more likely.

Don't recall too much of that other than the odd whisper of how he should be at Man U...certainly not this relentless media drive for Isak to be at Arsenal...just cos he "looks" a bit like Henry

It's not even the eventual possibility/inevitability of him moving, it's the absolute brass neck of these cuntish clubs down south that winds me up.

Arsenal haven't won the league in 20 years, they've got a few domestic trophies in their cabinet which we don't, but that's it. If the lad is making the biggest move of his career, he should want guaranteed (as good as) leagues and champions leagues.

Real Madrid, fine.

Barcelona with some magic money, I understand to a degree.

Bayern Munich, sure great club, will at least win shit loads of domestic titles.

Arsenal? Fuck off man. Even if they had the cash and Isak wanted it, I'd not sell to them out of principal. Besides, we are clearly not a million miles off them.

Even if it were City, provided they went about it the correct way, I could handle it.

Anything beyond that is a joke.

Liverpool are smarter than to pay 150m on one player, it's not their model.

Chelsea on footballing terms is a batshit sideways step, Man Utd and Spurs pfft.

Bit of a rant but if he goes, he goes on our terms, with our blessing and to a club which has gone about it in the correct way.

Ive said before, if Isak puts some silverware in our cabinet, he's rewarded himself with whatever future he wishes in my mind, apart from Arsenal, never Arsenal.

I honestly don’t believe he would want to go to Arsenal. I think he’s very happy here! I think he’ll sign a new contract in the summer. Time will tell. But he won’t go to Arsenal.
