I firmly believe we shouldn’t sell Isak to Liverpool or another English club at all, even if that means he sits at home for a year.

This is a power play for us as much it is for Liverpool, Isak, and his agent, as much as anything else.

This is exactly what his agent wants - hysteria to take over.

 

The reality is if Newcastle decide they really want to hold firm, Isak will come back with his tail between his legs come August and be as good as ever.

 

Far more important strikers have tried and failed with transfers before coming back into the fold.

Watkins, like Wissa, is a Wilson replacement. Not an Isak replacement.
