NUFC Transfer Rumours

I don't see how Wolves would sell a player they've just signed so that they can go into the same striker market we're failing in.

How are they PSR wise ? I know they sold Cunha and Ait-Nouri but could they need the money to bolster elsewhere ?

Apart from those two sales Ive no idea of their business this window

Think it's just at a point of who we overpay for, do we splash £45m on a 29 year old, or £55m on a 25 year old. Numbers pulled out of my arse.

Wolves might be happy taking advantage of the situation and more confident picking a replacement up on the continent for £30m.

This situation is why I don’t get the sniggering we had towards someone like Vardy.

One year deal, even if it’s £100k pw is £5m. That’s a drop in the ocean for having someone who can score goals in our side, has a good fitness record, then he’s off end of season. It’s not some mockery signing, it’s plugging a short term gap.

Desperately dropping £60m+ on someone like Jackson, 5 year deal, who was like 10th on our list (maybe lower) is more of a mockery and laughable action.

He’s finished at this level. Be as well keeping Wilson

I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem, they signed Strand-Larsen 6 weeks ago in this window

Because it isn’t like they have signed him in the way that we have signed Thiaw, they signed him last season on loan with an obligation, so have picked him up on the cheap, which gives them a chance to make a substantial profit quickly and reinvest.

The fee was apparently £23 million, but could be looking at around the £55 million mark if they were to sell him.

What’s he doing currently? Has he had a pre-season?

But elsewhere that doubling their money on him could alleviate or improve.

Teams driven by PSR issues will now sell in June. Particularly Wolves who are at risk of relegation if their Larson replacement flops. No way do they sell for a reasonable fee

I dont think we get anyone for a reasonable fee now.

Why did Villa sell us Ramsey then?

I take the point, I just don't see them going back into this market unless they already have someone earmarked that they're confident of getting. Selling him and not getting a replacement would mean them flirting with relegation

According to their fans they can see it happening because their owners would love the quick money. Think they need money to strenghen other areas too.

In terms of the replacement they'd likely be shopping more in the take a punt on someone from Europe type market. Someone like Lucas Stassin is probably available around the £25m mark for them.

Boniface faces uncertain future

Ten Hag has insisted that Boniface’s lack of game time is due to fitness concerns rather than a drop in form for the Super Eagles forward.

He suggested that the Nigerian international still has a chance to reclaim his spot once fully fit.

If Boniface cannot be guaranteed regular playing minutes this season, the 24-year-old forward may be forced to consider a move away from Bayer Leverkusen.

Al Nassr and West Ham are among the clubs linked with interest in Boniface as he faces an uncertain future in Germany.

Worth a punt surely - even as a loan with option to buy?

It looks like we’re going to have to get used to Gordon upfront tbh.

I'm starting to think this. Ramsey and Barnes can cover left wing.

I trust Howe to coach the movements into Gordon, but it doesn't seem close with him yet sadly. We're going to need to reintegrate Isak pretty quickly once the window ends.

This is the way I'm looking at it at this point, Gordon being switched across the front free with Osula getting a few minutes now and then....until Isak crawls back (I'm still of the opinion he's going nowhere yet)

I'm an Aussie and have spent my days watching Aussie rules more than the EPL... but to me, Gordon hardly looks like scoring. His shots seem weak.

We need him in wide open spaces (wing), running and causing mayhem. He isn't a striker. I'd rather see Osula, Barnes, joelinton, or even schar tried there.

Surely Ivan Toney would be open to a years loan back in the PL as it's WC year

Definitely wouldn’t be because of his tax situation. Could only do until Jan at most iirc.

Write off any hopes for the season then
