A player that can be very hit and miss with his finishing, doesn’t have a powerful shot on him, is a bit weak and no good in the air as our lone striker.

There's no way we won't sign someone else. If it's not a 'proper' striker it'll be another Osula-type or a different position altogether, with Gordon officially second choice CF.

I thought Kalimeundo or Guessand looked decent, but only saw Youtube highlights so maybe not. Forest and Villa bound instead now.

I saw Jackson tenuously linked with Villa. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he went there and we made a move for Watkins

Regardless of potential poor system fits and not being our top choices, recognised strikers are moving to (with respect) less desirable clubs than us. The likes of Kalimuendo would 100% be a better option up front than Gordon. This is why I'm holding out hope the club are confident of either bringing in a couple of strikers. Gordon as an option as a 9 would be totally negligent.

I am not convinced by Wakins and he is clearly on a downward spiral, however, if it were a choice between him and the current situation I would take him in a flash (reasonable price of course). Not sure we are in a position to get a reasonable price at this stage with anyone unless we unearthed a release clause somewhere?
