KingArthur
I read the Eddie comment when he said "we need to know the extent of injury" etc when asked about transfer window meaning we are going to be active. These injuries are not short term, he must know that. edit. Scalvini "links" seem total bs. Edited January 13 by KingArthur

Thiaw is a great player but we paid 10m over what was originally accepted from Como. Paul Mitchell said our recruitment wasn’t fit for purpose and then left when he couldn’t stamp his authority. Paul Mitchell thinks dogs can't look up.
khay
If Scalvini was a PL proven player with all these injuries or one of ours people would be saying get rid or dont extend. We cannot afford a risk due to those said injuries Going to be someone we have been linked with before or like botman himself.
McCormick
Is that young Chelsea defender that we were linked to previously getting game time? Could be an option.

Who's that? Josh Acheampong? He's not playing much and apparently not for sale.

Chelsea kids are never for sale until some nugget (us?) Comes along offering 30-40m for a kid whos never played a minute.

Teasy
Obviously when people say dogs can't look up. They mean dogs can't stand normally and tilt their head up until their eyes face the ceiling. Any transfers going on in the dog discussion forum today? Edited January 13 by Teasy

Stal
And penguins don't fall over watching helicopters. They don't need to, as they all get the latest transfer information right here on NO's plane spotting thread! But in seriousness, I'm not feeling worried about this window, even if we don't get anyone.

Think everyone at Chelsea is an option tbh. Not sure we can afford him mind, but there model is to sell. They also need to avoid PSR issues according to Mark Douglas. TRC
I’d look at some distressed assets. We previously wanted Tosin, Disasi and Badiashile, they have all been playing for a clown club since their move. A loan with option would be a smart play, low risk high reward.
Johny4317
Van Hecke would be my choice, contract up in 18 months, solid with good distribution, a player we’ve looked at and at 25 got some room for improvement
Dokko
We need a RB who can cover cb, not the other way round. LB is priority though. If we're that confident Targett is good enough, then we shouldn't have let him go.

Not to mention we've lost half our defenders in the last few weeks.

Coffee_Johnny
If we need a young right back who can play centre back and has a bit of ‘head room’ in terms of quality and value then my extensive ‘Wise’ scouting suggests we go shopping in Portugal. Couple of 6ft young guns who remind me of Tino: Fresneda is Spanish (Real Madrid youth product) few under 21 caps and thirty odd first team appearances for Sporting. Fernandes is Portuguese, a couple of years younger (19), but similar in terms of appearances and profile. Plays for Porto/been there since a kid.
