David Edgar Posted Sunday at 13:37 Share Posted Sunday at 13:37 Uncharacteristically shite in the box. But put a shift in and linked up well. No worse than the other two who played up front.
Smal Posted Sunday at 13:40 Share Posted Sunday at 13:40 was just waiting for him to make the right decision but he didn’t, very unlike him. Was still significantly more effective than Gordon.
Erikse Posted Sunday at 13:42 Share Posted Sunday at 13:42 (edited) Leicester fans kept saying he was the type of player that you could tell would have a relly good/bad game within the first 30 min of the game. This was one of those. A couple of poor decisions in the first half, and he never recovered from there on. Edited Sunday at 13:42 by Erikse
Jilted Generator Posted Sunday at 13:46 Share Posted Sunday at 13:46 He’s scoring away at Arsenal next week.
M1tche Posted Sunday at 14:05 Share Posted Sunday at 14:05 Did a reverse Harvey Barnes, good at everything else apart from the stuff in the final 3rd. Frustrating final 3rd display all round from us today tbf
Fak Posted Sunday at 14:07 Share Posted Sunday at 14:07 Had an off day, it happens. He was still lively and caused them problems up until his end product. Would keep the same XI next week unless Trippier is back. Just a shame his off day came at such a crucial time of the season. No damage done in the end though. AyeDubbleYoo Posted Sunday at 14:59 Share Posted Sunday at 14:59 The game in the final bit was exactly the sort of game that Barnes isn't good at. Defensive, niggly, aggressive. Not attributes he really excels in. Thought he was good before that, I would probably have brought on Osula for him towards the end.

shorty Posted Sunday at 19:30 Share Posted Sunday at 19:30 Obviously not his best game but wasn't nice to hear groans and worse from some near me. He took a bad knock early doors - people willing to give isak the benefit of the doubt when he's carrying a knock - think that should apply for Harvey too. Thought he was poor today and his touch was totally off.
Phil Posted yesterday at 12:12 Share Posted yesterday at 12:12 Had a poor game in all honesty, but kept getting himself into good positions, which is the main thing. Compare that to Neto/Madueke for them, who never looked threatening at all.

Yeah are rare off day for him where nothing worked - can happen sometimes - put it to one side and move onto Arsenal - he’s had a good season
The Prophet
Plenty of moans and groans aimed at him yesterday. He'll be back on the list shortly.

Agreed but he’s not a work-rate player so he’ll always been a bit of an easy target when his quality isn’t there either. God even Laurent Robert got booed off and he was twice the winger Barnes is. 80
I didn't think he was that bad yesterday. He did some things very poorly, and some important things very well as part of a winning team performance. He definitely wasn't a dead weight on us. I find it weird to want to pick on him in the circumstances.
huss9
i think it was just because it was such a tense game. finely balanced at 1-0 but they were dominating. we were desperate for a second goal and desperate for a win. any bad touch or loss of the ball by any player was causing moans... i just think we were terrified they were going to equalise. jackflap
Have come away from a lot of games thinking that his decision making in the final 3rd just isn't very good, particularly when there's a FB overlapping and he needs to decide whether to play him in or use him as a decoy to cut inside, he invariably seems to make the wrong call, something Gordon struggles with as well in fairness. A lot of promising situations on the left haven't materialised into much as a result. It's a crucial element as there's a lot of potential there with the energy of Hall/Livramento it really is a strength they need to be making the most of. It's a crucial element as there's a lot of potential there with the energy of Hall/Livramento it really is a strength they need to be making the most of. I thought that was the case on Sunday. But since West Ham onwards, the polar opposite. He seemed to regularly make the right run or pass. His decisions were usually spot on. Sunday he wanted to hold onto it a fraction too long and the chance would disappear. I think our whole team bar Bruno and Murphy were guilty of this against Chelsea, mind. nufcjmc
We don't want to lose his goals and the different aspect of his game compared to Gordon which will suit certain games/situations but at 28 you can't blame the club thinking recycling some players to reinvest is going to have to happen to some of the squad. Getting rid doesn't mean they don't hold value we just can't retain everyone until they retire or leave on a free. It's just not always going to happen perfect timing wise.
