nufcjmc
Only thing I found frustrating was him going down too easy I get drawing a foul is part of the game but it was clear the ref wasnt going to side in his favour he should have tried to stay on his feet. Much like trips in the first half while spurs were all over the place he played really well a mixture of crosses, lay offs and trying to move in centrally with the ball was good to see. Trying to blaze past someone hugging the touchline isnt always going to work. Edited February 10 by nufcjmc
TheBrownBottle
Played pretty well again - his head is up, which is good. Could do with showing a bit more strength when challenged.
Smal
starting to look like a PL player again, which is not meant to be as backhanded as it sounds
Keefaz
Good. Looked much more confident. Can do with him falling over and looking sad.
woody
Needs to continue to take his man on, but looked much more comfortable than he has previously
Elliottman
Pretty sure he done an amazing bit of skill second half I think but wasn’t sure if screen glitched or not. Would need to watch it back. Thought he looked good overall. wtf.
Ben
Was it him that was blatantly pushed in the box by Van De Ven and it wasn't even looked at ?

TRon
Just now, Ben said: Was it him that was blatantly pushed in the box by Van De Ven and it wasn't even looked at ? Yes. I mean you could say he went over looking for it, but he was in on goal. Why would he?

Weirdly before he came I thought his decision making of when to release the ball and when to keep it was one of his strengths. The pass he made for the Barnes back heel was pretty good. Was hard done by on a few calls mind.

Lotus
1st time we’ve looked worse when he’s gone off. Good to see. Keep it up.
joeyt
Thought that was his best game for us Also thought he's not going to face many teams where their left winger just doesn't track back at all
Gallowgate Toon
He's making less daft mistakes on the ball which is a big help but the biggest difference is that his movement is looking so much better.
NWMag
I thought he was good last night and also it felt like the first time he’s actually looked comfortable out there and not playing with that fear/worry of making mistakes
Lotus
He had Spurs worried every time. He also made some very important defensive contributions.
Adam P
He looks to now understand what he is meant to be doing, there was so much hesitation and flat footedness in some performances earlier in the season, he looked low on confidence but also unsure about where he was meant to be positionally. Its one of the reasons i thought he needed time. People say we are hard to play against (less so perhaps recently) not just because of our intensity but because we have evidently quite complex roles for each player that requires them to know the system in and out of possession. Maybe that contributed to Wissa and Woltemade being on the bench last night, as Gordon knows his role and that of those around him. I think Elanga needed more time to get his head around what was expected of him. Once that is embedded, he should start to show some 'numbers'. Looking more and more solid in transition both ways too.
Kid Icarus
The main thing he probably needed to improve last night was whenever he was tackled. He was fouled a couple of times and got nothing from the ref, so for him to get tackled/dive and waste his time complaining to the ref made no sense. SteV
Seems like if he does ultimately end up failing here, it won’t be due to lack effort and/or professionalism: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4g0jjxmr00o
Yorkie
Great read. I'm convinced he'll be mint eventually. Didn't realise he'd become a dad since he arrived; you can't underestimate the impact that has on your life. I've no idea how comparable fatherhood is if your wage is six figures a week as opposed to three*, but surely it's seismic regardless. * Spoiler

oldtype
On the one hand, I know enough of how the sausage is made to know that his agency probably set up this piece specifically to try to turn around fan sentiment after he's strung together some decent performances. On the other hand... He does come off as a really nice bloke. Some people can't fake it even when they're told to.
