Isak level finishing is pretty rare. There's a reason why Arsenal and now Liverpool have lusted after him. His shooting is outrageously good.

Again, which is why it's outrageous that we are even considering letting him go.

Just seen the Eddie and BDB press conference. All of the Korean journalists asked about the game. Hope just comes straight in with the Isak question the slime ball. Korean fans calling him out in the comments for being disrespectful [emoji38]

In his vlog he’s looking for Eddie like Partridge shouting for “Dan”, gets told where to find him and he goes to the wrong building.

Comes out of the press conference saying he’s going to give us his reflections, and I couldn’t help picturing him staring into his own for 10 straight minutes in Riyadh.

Let’s be honest everyone of us would rather know what’s going on with Isak than talk about a pre season friendly

I don't think I've ever worked for a new director/chief executive/whatever who hasn't trotted out that "it's like changing an aeroplane engine mid flight" bollocks. It's always bullshit and it's especially bullshit here. We didn't even have an aeroplane before

One of our most valuable assets at the moment is Howe’s ability to improve players. If us and Man Utd are both in for Sesko this definitely factors into his decision. On one side he sees the trajectories of Isak, Gordon, Bruno and Livramento. On the other he sees Sancho, Höjlund, Zirkzee and Antony. I think this gives us more edge than most people realize. I’d be very, very confident of Howe making an exceptional player out of Sesko.

I'd have thought that too going into this summer. But players see $$$ and that's all that matters if we're honest. Especially when they have pushy agents who want their cut.

The complete lack of proven top class forwards these days really justifies a considerably higher fee for Isak than has reportedly been submitted to date.

That's perhaps the major difference from the Cole situation where the opposite was the case and the world our oyster. whilst I'd be okay with big money and to get rid of Isak for the vibes, this is the major snag.

It’s not really a lot and it also depends on a lot of factors. im not sure what you are expecting in a Isak replacement. Its him, Jackson or Watkins

We should pay him a bunch of money to stay for the year and agree to release him next year at a fixed price. We don’t have time now, and we’ve been abysmally slow.

But we haven't, and that's potentially the point he's making by fucking us off. He's not going to ruin the best years of his career at a club who piss about to the point we cannot sign players from Burnley or Brentford. New training ground? New stadium? New CEO? New contract? He's obviously just thought "fuck it", knowing he can sign for one of the best clubs in the world and not have to put up with the struggle.

If all that is true I'd far rather it was just out in the open tbh. The fans at least deserve to know. We've supported him.

Oh aye, I don't blame him for wanting to move if that's what it is. The way he's gone about it is complete horseshit whatever the motive.

It's all about money, players don't care about getting improved, they don't care about playing in the Champions League. They care about the salary they get and to a lesser extent where they live. That's it. Anybody thinking differently is kidding themselves.

He has low shot volume and doesn’t appear to be great at anything apart from heading. The shot volume in Germany with their fast transitions is a bad sign. There’s a reason nobody else has picked him up. Maybe he gets better. Idk.

This comment reads like one is drawing too much of a conclusion based on a few stats or graphs. He is excellent at many things beyond heading. For a start his pressing is superb which is a key attribute for any forward we would sign, he has great acceleration, great anticipation and an absurdly powerful strike. He's way more than just an aerial threat.

Let’s not try and condense down every footballer into being exactly the same person. We’re all individuals. Are most people motivated by money? Sure, is that the only thing that matters? No
