Howe always finds a way to challenge my trust in him.

He's won everything so far. This is a lot of money for an inconsistent slightly injury prone player and I don't rate Ramsdale, but I'm a Howe cultist so go for it Edward, I trust you.

Aye. Exactly here.

I wonder how much more gets you Gallagher.

my unerring loyalty is to King Eddie but man, I’m not sure about this one.  It’s the injury record. And we know Eddie likes to flog his boys.

In a perfect world we sign El Khannouss as well and somehow move Willock on.

Theres still time. Willock currently injured doesn’t help tho

For the record I was saying if Willock had carried on his form of 22-23 and kept growing as a player then he would be worth £40m or there abouts too.

But obviously he didn't and there's a reason we would struggle to give Willock a way for free at the moment and we are paying £40m for a player who has had similar injury issues.

Clearly he's a better player but Willock had alot of unfulfilled potential. But it's just that... and will likely remain now unfulfilled

Wasn’t Bruno less than this? It really sums up how lazy/inept we are with scouting now.

Aye you know who else was less? Alan Shearer.

We signed Bruno 3 and a half years ago, fees have only gone more mental in that time.

I think he will be a good buy. Seems a Howe player for sure. Seen him interviewed a few times and came across as a good egg. Brummies often seem friendly, salt of the earth types in my experience.

Injuries a concern, for sure. But he brings a bit of versatility and will be playing in a system that I think will really suit.

Like many others. I was keen on El Khannouss and would still like us to sign him. As he offers something different. But I’m still happy with this signing if it goes through.

Not sure Gallagher is even for sale or wants to move.

Also, I think Gallagher is only better in fitness record, otherwise he's at least on a level. Ramsey probably offers more overall, especially in attack.

(I'm not a big fan of Gallagher anyway TBH, all he can do is run.)

I don't like it personally. He's a good player but it's a lot to spend given his injuries and inconsistency over the past couple of years, and it also helps out a rival club. Given that he plays down the left and seems to render Willock obsolete, for me it will also still feel like we're a player short.

Quite the mixed reaction in here.

I'd imagine if it wasn't for his injury record, it'd be overwhelmingly positive.

It's definitely a concern, but you've got to trust the club has done it's due diligence.

Gallagher can do a lot more than run. He’s extremely good at shielding the ball and he’s very tidy with releasing the ball quickly

We should at least not act like they’re like for like on fitness. Willock’s body is confetti. Ramsey has had issues but he’s far from a lost cause where Willock looks close to done

I'm more concerned about Willock when he's fit than when he's injured TBH.

Middlesbrough Council spent about £2.5 putting a short cycle lane in, paying hundreds of thousands in injury compensation to people tripping over it, then £2.5m removing it again.

This is a bargain.

Maybe if they didn't spend only £2.5 putting it in, in the first place, the injuries could have been avoided... 😁
