Just from a man management point of view there is no way Eddie puts a player in a squad against his former team, at their ground, 2 days after signing/leaving.

There's no way he plays any player 2 days after signing. Thiaw won't be starting and wissa wouldn't either, even if he signed a week ago.

Most managers don't throw people in that early and Howe seems even more cautious than most.

What is it with journos and these emoji bullet points, what are you 12 years old?

It's an cognitive engagement thing. All the research shows that our brains respond more to them than to words alone.

Pretty sure Isak started after joining a few days earlier.

But aye wouldn’t expect Ramsey to start against Villa.

He did, but that was out of necessity really

The reports aren't contradictory.

It says we're close to a deal with Villa on the fee but we're yet to talk to the player, hence there is work to do.

All the journos late last night saying this gets done today? I think it will take a bit longer. Hopefully moving in the right direction though. Might be Asensio dependant though…

I think its other way round potentially. Villa need to sell to buy sort of thing.

If I put aside injury concerns because I don't know enough to be sure if that's a legitimate concern, I do love how much of his highlight reels are him driving with the ball in central areas.

Our current central midfield options are brilliant, but I don't know if I'd consider any of them as being excellent at driving forward quickly through tighter spaces. Tonali and Joelinton are great with grass in front of them, Bruno has a little filck or trick in his locker, but that's usually just to evade pressure.

This lad looks like someone that can get it 40 yards out from goal and get us into a better position really quickly. Any chance we can flog them John Ruddy in return in memory of Elliot Anderson?
