I played Pickleball for the first time last night and now my back hurts. Best I can offer is a 3 minute cameo at the end of the game.

As I said

£44m total? Bargain.

Andy I wasn’t aware of your game. I am sorry.

£39m in reality reading between the lines. Bonuses sound like they are only activated if we win the EPL/UCL which as nice as that would be probably a tad unrealistic during his time at the club. Guess we’ll never get clarity on “difficult add ons”.

Any hope in us flogging Willock by end of window after signing Ramsey? Feels they're far too similar in players, with Joelinton also here, to keep Willock?

Happily get rid for even £10m-£15m if it enabled any other CM signing.

Given he's crocked, I doubt it.

His dribbling ability and the manner in which he attacks space with the ball at his feet (under control) is really exciting. I thought our 4-3-3 under Howe looked nearly unstoppable at times when we had Willock at full pelt because he was flying up the pitch with the ball and making something happen. I think Ramsey is such a clever player, finds half spaces and has very good dribbling and close control.

Seems a long time since Willock was able to run at players, in our CL qualification season a couple of years ago, he was doing that at will.

Always rated him, delighted weve got him - i thought he was awesome few years ago and didn't understand why he didn't kick on but sounds as if he wasn't being played in the right position.

Hes probably sad to leave his boyhood club but its the game now!

Had a horrific injury I think.

Palace on loan if Eze goes to Spurs maybe, with an obligation if he makes a certain amount of appearances.

I can’t see anyone buying him this window.

If we do let Willock go well need another CM

I think there are times when clubs take a gamble on having enough players, because getting the right fee at the right time is important.

OK we need 6 midfielders but if someone hoys a decent chunk at you for Willock, you have to think about taking it, given his injury record.

In fairness, his injury record is why we wont get decent bids for him.

I mean, who is going to want to offer decent cash for Joe Willock? Feel like his transfer value isn't nearly worth us "cashing in" at this point.

Is he still injured from the friendly? Can only imagine one of the promoted/bottom end of the table taking a risk on Willock. And even then it wouldn't be for much. Boys made of glass.

There will always be someone who will take the chance that he can come back to where he was if he gets a new start.

Our finishing XIs should be much stronger though....... that counts IYKWIM

Nice way of putting it.

Not sure why some people have been unhappy with the idea of signing floor raisers. We have a very good best XI who can go toe to toe with anyone, and - as we've found this summer - is extremely hard to improve. But building out our squad so that we can hope to avoid catastrophic fatigue and injuries in November, and have genuine game changers on the bench, is also vital to our prospects.

He's good at finding space in what you would consider "problematic" areas for the opposition. I guess we would need another set of stats to determine what he did with said space  But overall it's a positive thing to be good at.
