Eddie has a hard on for these athletic midfielders who can break the lines with their pace. The problem is the ones we have signed can’t pass or shoot.

Modern nothingy forwards. And we don't need them no more. We are good enough now that we are not springing counters into space. We are in a position where we are attacking low blocks with nowhere for these athletes to run to.

Did nothing with his opportunity, shouldn’t be near the first team for a while.

And yet I feel like he needs a run to get up to speed.*

Really reminds me of willock.

*Not because he's deserved it, but because I refuse to believe a player has got to this level, in that position, and not be able to control a football and play a weighted pass.

I'm sure he'll end up being half decent all in all but 45m makes it a poor transfer. Adds nothing we don't already have.

It was a shite signing. No idea why we went there unless willock was away for at least half the fee.

I said he was pants earlier in the thread and see no reason after today to change my mind. He's as much as a nothing player as Willock.

to be fair to Willock. His last few appearances he has looked far more sharp and effective than Ramsey.

The jury will be out for a while yet for me, but I'm still just not sure what he is. Looking at his highlights from when he was in form you'd think like an in form Willock but with a goal threat. At the moment he's more like an out of form Willock.

He’s been much of a muchness since joining. Hasnt excelled at anything other than disappearing during matches.

It’s so disappointing that so much money has been spent on players who haven’t really got going.

Aye, I’m not sure what he was meant to provide when deputising for any of the midfield three. He’s been fit and available for most of the time though which has been a pleasant surprise since I was worried we’d signed a bit of a sicknote

He just strikes me as another version of Willock without the same dynamism or ability to play off the cuff. That might be okay if he was more durable, more composed with his passing or offered more grit and tenacity in the middle of the pitch and obviously Willock has been perpetually injured or out of form. At the moment though I don't see what Ramsey offers and if you were going to upgrade the midfield he'd be the one I'd be happiest to lose.

We really need players who can receive the ball in between the lines. Ramsey is not exactly that.

There’s obviously a player in there, as Villa weren’t happy to see him go.

Still yet to see him offer anything to get me to change my mind that he has West Ham summer 2027 written all over him.
